It is real. You can definitely recognize the tuning of Chris's guitar and piano. Piano sounds like Christmas Lights piano. It's just a little repetitive and without a beautiful voice to back it up. It would be better if they just released this song with vocals. I wonder if they will just give it to someone to leak it saying they just found it, so that Coldplay doesn't have to officially release it, but can put this beautiful song out.

Oh my god. Listening to the solid ground instrumental actually kills me.

 

It's just such a tease. I want a studio version of that song so bad. Without the vocal track removed.

 

Soooo bad. One of the most beautiful sincere sounding coldplay songs, IMO.

I don't care if the Famous Old Painters instrumental is real or not. All I know is that I've listened to it at least 4 times and I think its beautiful.

Ahh I'm allready repeating it constantly , I want Chris' voice in it :D

I think this song is purely about getting the marketing machine started for the new album .. and it works :D I Love it ! They know how to tease their fans and I think this was absolutely thought through by their marketing team :)

I don't agree, why would they leak this song on such a stupid MP3 download website? No idea how they got it... But I don't think this has anything to do with Coldplay, or their "Marketing team".

I didn't listened until today, and it's a wonderful song!!

Even if it's hard to say and easy to be wrong, I think is real. Sounds like Coldplay in many moments, and also Lukas and Until the Water Flows.. You can hear Chris at the back in some moments, the same acoustic guitar sound (which is hard to copy, I must say), also the same piano sound at Famous Old Painters, and mostly the horns: they have the same compressed distinctive sound as in Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground, and as you may remember, Prospekt said that were hired hornist players for Famous Old Painters, so yep, I think it's real :)
