Almost 100% sure Radio 1 just used Jayzo's audio from his videos to report on the story! You could tell it was taken from a video as it was poor quality and he's the only one YT with all the dialogue they used.

Was on Fearne Cotton's show during the big 5 :P

Gigwise quoted you!

Fan site Coldplaying.com reports that Martin replied: “F*ck it, I'll do it! But only if you do it with me.”

Oh great story! :D and amazing vids, thanks for sharing :wacky:

Wow...awesome is all I can say...I love Chris, he's the best!

He isn't in London, he flew back to NY

How come?

Ask him, I don't know :laugh3:

Probably because Gwyneth is promoting her cookbook across the pond

It's the Easter holidays, family time and all that, it's important.

Anyway, it sounds like the album is already pretty much done, R42 said that they're all winding down and Pat when he met them said they're only in there a couple of days a week now.

By the way, I'm only getting that from what we've read on here, this isn't new information I got last night...just before people start getting excited :P

probably the album is done after all...

and coincidentally, the mixing process is going on in NYC...

So I'll add my two cents into the review mix, but not much to add.

I got there a little bit early and was waiting outside. Matt McGinn parked his car down the street and started lugging guitars and stuff up towards the pub. I had absolutely no idea who he was, even though I've got his book (shame), but I'm not a super hardcore fan and I don't really know about all the staff and roadies! He came up to me (thinking I was security) and asked if this was the entrance, which I replied yes, and if Lou was inside, which I replied I don't work here! :laugh2:

On reflection I should have offered to help him get stuff into the gig, but he looked like a man on a mission and I didn't want to get in any of the "pros" way!

After too many mineral waters (I had the same tipple as Simon Pegg :P), I had to use the loo which was through a narrow corridor. On the way out Chris and Matt were talking in the doorway about guitars, and Chris was holding the door open. Quite surreal! So I squeezed past back for the main act. They were really lively and fun even though the power kept cutting out, haha. After another visit to the loo I passed Matt carrying a guitar to Chris, and because of the tight space to get through my hand brushed against it, which was quite an honour! haha :P. I'm sure you fangirls would have been more excited than I was though! :p

After the first band and Chris performed we went over to say goodbye to Matt. I said we were fans and it was coincidence we were here (well it was for me, Mich was the one who had a hunch :p). He recognised me from earlier, and I said I didn't realise who he was, to which he said "Why would you? I'm just another fucking roadie!" - I laughed (I hope I was supposed to laugh?! :| haha).

Anyways we said goodbye to him and also to Simon Pegg, and then Matt tapped us on the shoulder and said here take these, and he gave us Chris' picks, which was so lovely of him. As Mich said they have velcro on so they are more comfortable to hold (smart idea!).

A thoroughly lovely shindig, and it was so nice for Chris to do it, and you could tell the place meant a lot to him and Simon; it was a lovely send off for John.

:)
