Thing is for me I would never take the time to post on a forum of a band that I didnt like .

I can understand why people don't like Coldplay. Yes, they have ripped off a number of bands; yes, their music can be considered to be a little 'gay'... but my problem with Coldplay haters is that they're happy to insult Coldplay as much as they like, but can't cope with even the idea that I might insult their bands. I'm not personally attacking anyone on this forum or anything, but I know of people in real life who are like this.

Because when they signed up they were fans, but that faded. They stayed here because this is overall an excellent forum, particularly the World of Music section. I'd wager that there are very few forums out there like this. In my opinion, it is a tremendous compliment to this forum if people remain here even after they've lost their love for Coldplay.

what bothers me is when the non-Coldplay fans come into the Coldplay section just to be jerks.

I personally love the band , I know that not everyone is going to feel the same about them and everone is entirled to their opinion.

Thing is for me I would never take the time to post on a forum of a band that I didnt like . Me I just blank all the haters out.

I don't like haters in general, I'm of the ones who think that if you don't like something there's no point in spamming their videos on youtube, web pages, forums and stuff, it's kinda annoying. Regarding people who don't like Coldplay, I accept they don't like them, we don't have to like the same kind of music. I don't expect everyone to like Coldplay, if you don't like them fine, just don't bother me for liking them :P

well, i think it's more that if you exist, people will hate (or at least dislike) you, for any number of reasons. but most people aren't known by enough other people to really notice the hate that much, if that makes sense. :P

For example, there are many people who worshiped Obama when he was first elected but are now full of hatred for him. It's almost as if they were looking for excuses to despise him.

I know they're not everyones cup of tea, but I don't give a shit. I love them.

I can understand that posting this here in this section is provocative but it's so annoying to read comments from that stupid and close minded people who can't accept that even if this is a coldplay fan site not everyone likes them because some people join here for another reasons like the awesome WoM section or keeps coming here even if they stop listening to the band because they made friends here and stuff. Well maybe that people can't understand what it's like to make friends here because they're annoying pieces of shit or whatever.

 

Seriously, Coldplay is far from being perfect and blind fangirls are annoying. On the other hand, fortunately most of the coldplay fans I've met here are smart and nice people.

 

And coldplay section people, if you really like music and you're not just into coldplay because they look good, go to the world of music section, there's a lot of good music there :)

Too true. As I've always said, if you have unrealistic expectations, you're always likely to end up disappointed.

Far better to stay grounded and "keep it real".

 

As for those who hate Coldplay, but are attracted to Coldplaying for other reasons, if they use some common sense and keep their anti-Coldplay views to themselves (particularly in the Coldplay section), I'm pretty sure everyone will be happy.

 

It should be pretty obvious that the vast majority of people will be here because of Coldplay, even if the detractors aren't.;)

I dont hate people who dont like Coldplay, I just dont like it when does people start talking bad about Coldplay. I dont care if they like them or not, just please respect me for liking them. I dont trash bands other people like so I expect the same thing from the other side.
