October 24, 200619 yr right, so ive listened to Kid A. its not half as good as OKC if you ask me :P i liked how to disappear completely ofcourse,Everything in its right place,Idioteque,In limbo and thats about it... the rest was quite weird and boring.. maybe it just takes time to get used to it. but for now ill stick to OKC. *runs away to listen to Let Down*
October 24, 200619 yr ^^ i think you're right, it just takes time to get used to the 'weirdness'
October 24, 200619 yr It takes quite a while actually. In order to get maximum effect out of Kid A, I listen to it in my car in the dark. Awesome sound and nothing to stimulate the senses except the music. It's truly a divine experience.
October 24, 200619 yr OKC > The Bends > Kid A > HTTT > Pablo Honey > Amnesiac the order might change from time to time. p.s. amnesiac is still a great album.

October 25, 200619 yr OKC > The Bends > Kid A > HTTT > Pablo Honey > Amnesiac the order might change from time to time. p.s. amnesiac is still a great album. This is how I see it: OKC = The Bends = Kid A > Amnesiac > HTTT > Pablo Honey I can never say which one of those 3 is better because it ends up changing like 10 seconds later. :)
October 25, 200619 yr For me it's Kid A > OK Computer > Amnesiac > The Bends > Hail To The Thief > Pablo Honey right now :anxious:

October 25, 200619 yr kid a-amnesiac<-ok computer<-hail to the thie-the bends<-pablo honey (though i dont even listen to it)
October 25, 200619 yr Though I'd certainly agree that Kid A is their best album by far- probably the single most beautiful album I've ever heard- I actually like Amnesiac better. Am I crazy? (that's rhetorical by the way) But the way I see it, it's like having really fancy silverware. You really don't want to use them every day. It feels akward like you should be sitting down to a fancy meal if you do, and they get all banged up and tarnished from over use. The second best set meanwhile can put up with day to day abuse and are probably more appropriate for kraft dinner, so you can pull out the good ones on special occasions and appreciate the artistry that went into them. Kid A is full of variations on this one mood that gives the whole work this incredible feeling and artsy consistancy, but listening to it everday and getting put in that headspace does something to my head. Amnesiac has this great warmth and variety to it that Kid A doesn't. I really like it- it's less coherent, but more versatile as a result. Does that make any sense, or is it just me?
October 25, 200619 yr yeah..i fell in love with amnesiac immediatly, though i tried to avoid it listening every single time, untill 2 moths ago.. it is a serious concurent to kid a. amnesiac is like a beautiful story, that's how i see it...just beautiful..so many images in it...
