January 10, 200719 yr Amnesiac is beautiful. Pyramid song' date=' I might be wrong, You and Whose Army are all brilliant songs! How can anyone not like it?[/quote'] i just dont think pyramid song is brilliant
January 10, 200719 yr The only thing wrong with Amnesiac is that Morning Bell, Amnesiac song. They could've left that out..
January 10, 200719 yr i had a strange aversion towards it and it's the only album i refused to play. ever. then , while driving to Prague on my school trip, 3 in the morning in the bus , something hits me, i started listening to it, watching the countryside in kinda dawn in the middle of nowhere in germany and it was love at the first listen. from that point on, it's my fave (well next to kid a). brilliant.
January 10, 200719 yr I've heard a few songs of Hail to the Theif and it said there are Neil Young influences so I am sort of leaning towards that...but the coldplayers are making me want amnesiac.
January 10, 200719 yr HTTT is like a compilation of everything, you know... a bit Beatles, a bit electronica, a bit OKC, a bit Amnesiac etc. but it just doesn't sound quite right together... it's easily their weakest, besides Pablo altough, i wouldn't give it less than 8/10. weak album on their level, quite good generally ;)
January 10, 200719 yr The only thing wrong with Amnesiac is that Morning Bell' date=' Amnesiac song. They could've left that out..[/quote'] definitely.......that song quite annoys me
January 10, 200719 yr by the way, i had a presentation about Radiohead today. it was quite strange... as far as i noticed no-one knew a fucking fuck about them, i mean the name was familiar surely, but that's all. i was also talking about "why Amnesiac is not Kid B" and "who were the major influences during their electronic period". was quite pointless... when i said "Aphex Twin is like THE GOD of electronica for me!" and mentioned some names, everyone sat with a :wtf: face and wondered who Aphex Twin, Autechre, Can, Alice Coltrane etc are... yeah, imagine my situation
January 10, 200719 yr aaaaahhahahahha that got a good chuckle from me. Yeah I'm suprised there aren't more people in 'real life' hooked on radiohead. They've heard of them but that is it. They probably think they are some heavey metal band or something. what class was this for?
January 10, 200719 yr ^oh my...Nik those situations suck......but why did you have to make a Radiohead presentation?I find that quite cool actually....;)

January 10, 200719 yr ^oh my...Nik those situations suck......but why did you have to make a Radiohead presentation?I find that quite cool actually....;) i had to choose a subject for my music classes. i found that cool, too... till the beginning of it. i would have enjoyed to present RH to people with similar music interests as mine, because i wouldn't have to explain who are The Smiths, Sonic Youth. what is OK Computer... you know what i mean ;)
January 10, 200719 yr Haha, what type of music were the people in your class into? (like who were some of the other presentations on?)
January 10, 200719 yr Oh that's cool.....I can remember when we had to do something like this for music class as well.....we had to present different style of music....ours was Funk....the bad thing was that I worked together with a girl who doesn't know anything about music....we presented a semi-funk band (Red Hot Chili Peppers) only because we thought that everyone knows them.....:\

January 10, 200719 yr ow! well, at least everyone knew them :P oh and there was a guy before me who presented Cat Stevens, that was a really pleasant surprise! :nice: awww so that's nice after all..... oh well....our teacher was not really pleased by it...because there was no brass in their songs....one of the main aspects of funk music.....we should have presented Stevie Wonder or Earth, Wind and fire.....uuuh however....I would not do the same mistake again....

January 10, 200719 yr i would love to do a presentation on them, what a great work assignment! but yet again i'm sure there would be many people thinking 'what the..?' steph, you need amnesiac? you definately need to :wink2:
January 10, 200719 yr Nik..nobody heard about Smiths in my city. not even those who cathegorise themselves as rockers. imagine that. aphex twin is obviously a bit too much. a guy whose into electronica all the way and takes huge amout of shit, really good guy, never heard of aphex, squarepusher, kraftwerk etc. so...
