August 2, 201114 yr He looked very young! I think he was pre-Bends era young but without that silly hair
August 3, 201114 yr I couldn't get on the site earlier today. :| I thought maybe they were updating it for tour dates, but alas... no.
August 3, 201114 yr ^You have no idea how many times that's happened to me. :freak: C'mon, boys. We're gettin' ancy here.
August 3, 201114 yr some clips here of Thom's appearances on the Modeselektor tracks http://thekingoflimbspart2.com/?p=2137
August 5, 201114 yr We're nearly 6 months into TKOL, so I feel the need to post my LP ranking. First three were no-brainers for me, the next four weren't quite as easy to accurately rank. IR HTTT Amnesiac OKC TKOL Kid A The Bends that other one we do not speak of
August 5, 201114 yr TKOL over Kid A? :oI only really like 3 songs on Kid A :| So overall I'd say TKOL has a slight edge. And in my list (although I didn't explicitly say it), I'm considering the "era" as a whole. So The Butcher and Daily Mail gets included in the TKOL era imo. So yeah, TKOL > Kid A.
August 5, 201114 yr hmm... What songs do you really like on Kid A? if I had to rank them... In Rainbows Kid A/OK Computer HTTT The Bends/Amnesiac/TKOL PH
August 5, 201114 yr hmm... What songs do you really like on Kid A? Everything In Its Right Place The National Anthem Idioteque Optimistic is okay I suppose, but nothing spectacular.
August 5, 201114 yr No HTDC? :o You should listen to Kid A (the song) live... it gave me a greater appreciation for the song [ame= ] [/ame]
August 5, 201114 yr No HTDC? :o I'm usually not in the mood to intentionally provoke my gag reflex. So no.
August 5, 201114 yr *cringes* HTTT over kid a and okc? For the respective eras as a whole (not just the LPs), I'd say yes. imvho
August 5, 201114 yr Considering b-sides, live shows and so?basically, yeah edit: For example, as I mentioned above, I consider The Butcher and The Daily Mail part of the TKOL era, even though one is a b-side and the other isn't even released (performance only) edit 2: This is how I look at it, in no particular order... Favorites from Kid A era = Everything in its Right Place, The National Anthem, Idioteque Favorites from HTTT era = There There, 2+2=5, Where I End and You Begin, The Gloaming, Myxomatosis, Paperbag Writer (also rating pretty well on my list... A Punch Up at a Wedding, Go To Sleep, I am a Wicked Child, Gagging Order)
August 5, 201114 yr Well kid a didn't have b-sides at a, and i think overall performances were better during those eras. Specially thom's voice.
August 5, 201114 yr OKC is crap compared to Kid A. edit: Haha tbh, when talking about only Radiohead albums and not mentioning PH, OKC makes me cringe so bad.
August 5, 201114 yr I'd put HTTT right above or below The Bends. Near the bottom of the list, in any case.
August 5, 201114 yr We're nearly 6 months into TKOL, so I feel the need to post my LP ranking. First three were no-brainers for me, the next four weren't quite as easy to accurately rank. IR HTTT Amnesiac OKC TKOL Kid A The Bends that other one we do not speak of Interesting. It's nice to know someone loves HTTT as much as I do. Most of the others tend to rank it much lower. It's my personal favorite, honestly. I'd rank "The Bends" much higher, as I feel Thom's vocals are spot on in it. Even after all this time, I feel that "Kid A" is overrated. Also, while we all know PH is sub-par to everything else, it has its moments. I love "Vegetable" so much. I can't explain it.
