July 13, 200916 yr one week until Thom's solo set! I wonder what he'll play. I figure he'll probably do like a 12-14 song set or something. if so what do you hope he plays? I'm hoping/thinking he'll play something like: 1. Analyse 2. There There 3. Last Flowers 4. Super Collider 5. Faust Arp 6. New Song 7. Reckoner 8. Whatever Happens 9. Like Spinning Plates 10. Cymbal Rush 11. The Clock 12. Everything In It's Right Place w/ intro of True Love Waits or Follow Me Around 13. Street Spirit 14. Videotape edit: other songs I think he might/i'd like him to play would be: Down is the New Up, 4 Minute Warning, Skip Divided, Good Morning Mr. Magpie/Mornin' Mi Lord, Gagging Order, Fog Again, Morning Bell, How To Disappear Completely, Fake Plastic Trees Also so you guys know as a side note, one of my friends did a remix which he mashed up Reckoner and The Eraser together. Apparently the chords are very similar in both songs. Check it out, it's really awesome! http://www.myspace.com/nightspringmusic
July 13, 200916 yr Hi peoples, been in Coldplay land for a while and wanted to say come hello on Ren's bday, hoping he will come by here and make a guest appearance. Have a Happy Birthday my Dear Radiohead Mentor!
July 13, 200916 yr It would be great to hear Whatever Happens and maybe a new song, too. :nice: That mashup is quite good. :)

Analyse, Cymbal Rush and The Clock. Fog, Like Spinning Plates and Super Colllider also pops to mind. Most of the other stuff will be more well-known Radiohead songs. I'd be very surprised if he performs anything else off The Eraser. He might do some new stuff, whether it be new 'solo' material or unheard acoustic Radiohead songs. Can't wait to hear those. This thing better be recorded!!

I guess he'll probably play more well known songs. It'd still be nice if he threw in a few gems. From what i've read a few people are taping his performance, or at least they say they are. I hope the follow through, I mean there are very few soundcheck recordings from this past tour and so many said they would tape... (still holding out for a full recording of Wake Me (Before they Come))
July 15, 200916 yr yeah hopefully it's a decent quality recording as well... it would be a shame for this not to be documented esp. if something amazing happens... ^ PS. I like your sig :D
July 15, 200916 yr remember how Thom is appreaing on a Mark Mulachy cover album, well here is the streamable song "All for the Best". It's nice to hear Thom's voice again http://stereogum.com/archives/new-thom-yorke---all-for-the-best-stereogum-premie_079431.html?utm_source=ss&utm_medium=tw

July 16, 200916 yr ooo that is sooo cool. is his brother well known amongst radiohead fans? or is this the first time we have come across him.
July 16, 200916 yr ooo that is sooo cool. is his brother well known amongst radiohead fans? or is this the first time we have come across him. people on atease have mentioned him before. I personally have not listened to too much of his music though. I think this is the first time though that Thom has talked about his brother, I haven't read anything before where he mentions him.
July 16, 200916 yr ooo that is sooo cool. is his brother well known amongst radiohead fans? or is this the first time we have come across him. OMG Download Unbelievable Truth's 'Almost Here'. Now. Quickly!

I think this is the first time though that Thom has talked about his brother, I haven't read anything before where he mentions him. Nah, he's mentioned him in the past. As well as his (Andy) bandmate Nigel Powell (who actually taught Jonny how to play guitar, no shit) Though it's been a while, I must say. For instance, when Unbelievable Truth were dropped by Sony/BMG Thom was quoted saying he was very angry with them (Sony) and how his brother and his bandmates had been treated. Andy released a solo album last year, and it's quite decent. But granted, I prefer Unbelievable Truth's early years.
July 16, 200916 yr So I was in london for about half a month and I went to this music shop and I only had enough money to buy 1 cd. They had all the Coldplay albums and I was going to buy one but instead at the last minute I bought "OK Computer"...I listened to it on the plane ride home and I loved it!! More than any of the Coldplay albums :\ (I know, very uncoldplay-like of me but i don't regret it)...Radiohead is BOSS!! :D:D:D:D

Wow, the first time I listened to that album (in 1997)... I must admit it honestly turned my (then) quite horrible musical taste completely upside down. You might call it life-altering, yes. That's why it remains my favourite album of all time.

I guess it's because I've been on atease for a few years, and have heard interviews from Thom and what I've seen/heard I haven't seen him mention his brother. It's good to see Thom acknowledge him though. What stuff by Andy/UT would you recommend? Good to see another person get into Radiohead. ---- I've been listening to this Thom cover and I really like it! I haven't heard the original song, but this cover is great! Clearly Thom is still working with his laptop on his own, by measure of this song... It'd be cool if he came out with The Eraser pt.2 sometime soon.

July 16, 200916 yr ^Haha, a convert! That's exactly what happened to me, after about a 4 month obsession with Coldplay, I listened to OK Computer and became beyond obsessed with Radiohead, and they've been my irreplacable favorite for about three years. OK Computer was life altering in a way for me too and it stands as my favorite album of all time as well.
July 17, 200916 yr Hello, new Radiohead fan! :nice: Same happened to me with OKC, loved it way more than anything Coldplay ever made. Had a terrible day, but the album made it better. I guess Kid A is my all-time favourite, but OKC is just as brilliant.
