Just thom, but ill try to make jonny :nice:

^noice!

just so you guys know as an update, wons (from atease) sent the petition thing (for the song Whatever Happens) to Radiohead's manager (he was able to do an interview so he is able to contact him), and the manager responded saying that he's passing the petition onto Thom!

^^ Great news!

Just thom, but ill try to make jonny :nice:

Cool!

Post a pic when you're done. :D

haha this pic from the gloaming's signature goes perfect while listening to the end fast part of Jigsaw Falling Into Place: thom59.gif

another DAS post, but this time Phil (who rarely posts):

SUNDAY TELEGRAPH PRINTS WRONG HEADLINE

Contrary to a Sunday Telegraph headline this weekend, we are not setting up a record label. The credit for this venture goes to one of our managers, Brian Message and his company ATC.

Philip

And this is from NME:

Radiohead manager Brian Message has launched a new record label, Polyphonic, which will allow artists to keep their copyright.

Although specifics details have not been released, the new company's policies look set to place emphasis on the digital distribution of music and may see release plans similar to Radiohead's 2007 album 'In Rainbows', which fans could choose how much to pay for when downloading it.

Polyphonic is a joint venture between Message's company ATC and management firms MAMA Group and Nettwerk Music Group, reports the Telegraph.

Artists are likely to get a 50 per cent share of profits, with their share increasing with success.

Outlining the principles of the label, Adam Driscoll, co-chief executive of MAMA Group, explained: "We will do whatever is most effective to get an artist noticed. Giving an album away for free may get one million people listening to a new artist."

It is yet to be announced which acts will be working with Polyphonic.

this is really great! i mean honestly for artists to get all their copyrights, and at least 50% of profits, what could be better? i mean now artists only get a few cents per dollar so this is great!

but at the end of the day it is inevitable that 21st century bands will earn a large majority of their money from touring instead of cd sales and radio airplay. thats just the reality for bands nowadays no matter what type of contract they sign.

I was suprised when I was reading a random rubbish email from HMV promoting it's latest stuff when I noticed the following 3 links:

Interesting to see the remaining 3 EMI albums are getting the collectors edition treatment, and the first I have heard of it (cos I've been living under a rock for the past 6 months :P)

posted from atease, it turns out that Radiohead will be on a bowie tribute album:

ASHES TO ASHES update

The release of the David Bowie tribute album on Warchild has been postponed until February 2010 due to some of the artists schedules not permitting an earlier release. Featured artists will include Radiohead, Carla Bruni and Charlotte Gainsbourg and will include Mick's version of Ashes to Ashes.

This should be really exciting!

that was something different. Thom is doing a cover of a Mark Mulachy song, and apparently Radiohead is doing a Bowie cover. Someone on atease mentioned how cool it would be if they did a song like Space Oddity but with jonny playing the ondes on that

So i finally made Jonny..He doesnt look that good, he was difficult to make.

Oh and Thom got a baby, called, Rachel :nice:
