my brother subscribes to entertainment weekly, and they have a list of the 100 greatest things in this past decade.

Radiohead makes it at #40 for Kid A, and it says: "In an abrupt left turn, one of the world's biggest rock bands began the decade with a disc of complex electronic explorations. Our minds: still blown nine years later."

Then at the end of the article they list the albums put in the list an Kid A comes at #3

dunno if you guys have heard this but Lupe Fiasco took the national anthem and did a rap over it...

Why did he think this would be a good idea? :bigcry:

i agree that it's interesting. I sort of liked it for a little while at the beginning, but after time i thought "okay, this is enough" :P

Kind of cool. I like Lupe.

interesting read... he makes some good points here and there but i don't fully agree. it also sounds like he was at the show that I atteneded.

edit: it also seems to me that they should've posted this article over a year ago

:laugh3:

I couldn't really understand what he was trying to get at.

i guess he was trying to say that they should stop trying to be innovative/different. Reading it again, i guess you're right in that you can't really follow what he's trying to prove. I think to me it seems that he's a bit bored with the band or something... i dunno.

But at the same time praising them for the changes from album to album? I donno...haha. I may have to read it again and try to find his point.

I guess he was just pissed that they played Cymbal Rush as an encore? :shrugs:

“Comparing Kid A to other albums is like comparing an aquarium to blue construction paper”

thanks Briggins!

There's a music programme on irish tv

and tomorrow's episode is a radiohead special.

It will be an interview with Thom Yorke and Ed O Brien

and running through the band's career so far.

I'll post a link if it's any good and if anyone would want it. :nice:

yeah... he seems to be constantly contradicting himself. I don't see what was the big deal with him playing Cymbal Rush. I personally thought it was a great moment in the concert... though it would've been nice if Jonny came out and played the Ondes
