  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

They are having a break and then will meet up to play together sometime in the near future. Doesn't sound as though there will be a new album.

"no plans as of yet [touring], but right now just taking a break and then getting back together in the same room"

...so looks like no tour dates but maybe more recording?

edit: yeah I kind of got that same feeling too, though they didn't really go in depth into talking more about the album. I still find that so strange after nearly 2 months since the album release there's been no interviews, tv spots, absolutely nothing. the only thing that's happened has been that universal sigh paper thing.

official confirmation from Radiohead's twitter about the new single...

We're releasing 2 new songs Supercollider & The Butcher on 12" for Record Store Day this Saturday 16th across the UK, Japan & Europe

...well that's annoying

Guh. I'm still not sure I'll get the copy. Thinking about calling a record shop here but none in Slovenia seem to be participating in this.

get a copy!!!

...and then rip the audio for all of us people in the states :sneaky:

You can go to the official Record Store Day site and see the list of participating stores. Many stores have links to their websites, with e-mail addresses. I e-mailed a few local stores the other day and received very prompt responses, so that could be an option for you too.

Oh, I'm sure some 'expert' will do that within 24 hours.

None of those stores is in my country, the closest shop is two hours away and I can't possibly drive there on my own >_< I can only hope my 'friend' won't forget about me.

don't blame me! the people at atease posted it there!

I thought it would be a good opportunity to post

since probably every takes my RH posts really seriously

Well also Radio 6 Music in the UK also caught up with Ed, and they asked him about the rumors of a part two, and he basically said that they did have songs that are incomplete or didn't work, but don't have anything on the lines of a 7-8 song album or there being another album released in the autumn. Basically he said that it seems a lot of those songs may just be put on the shelf, and never finished at all since they like to start fresh with each album.

If you want to listen to it...

Honestly I just really find this disappointing. Especially since at least from what he said and his tone, then that TKOL (plus this single on Monday) is really all that they have. And if that's the case, then we have to really just wait until they start up sessions for another album (which at the rate that they work we probably won't see another album for like 5 years). I'm sorry if it's annoying but the idea of waiting that long for this many songs is extremely unsatisfying.
