:dozey: Well, this should be interesting since this is a Coldplay forum in which you've chosen to put this poll. There do seem to be a lot of post-Coldplay-obsessive-Radioheads around here though, so I guess I shouldn't speak too soon.

 

I vote Coldplay. Yes, I should be ashamed of myself, I know, I know! Except, I'm not - cause I love Coldplay waaaay more, regardless of Radiohead's supposed musical brilliance that puts them in a totally different league. I guess I'm not as musically intelligent as some. Meh. :P

High and Dry was my introduction to Radiohead... that's a good place to start. Some of my favorites are Let Down, Pyramid Song, Fake Plastic Trees, but if you want some good ones that won't put you to sleep try Electioneering, and definitely 15 Steps. Their Grammys performance of that was amazing.

 

I think their most 'popular' songs are probably Creep and My Iron Lung, which I think are the two in Rock Band because they're very rocking. ;)

Radiohead are the one British band I can't stand. They were out of their place amongst Blur and Oasis in the 90s, and deservedly so. They are two better bands.

And what have either of those bands done of any significance since the 90s?

Yeah I remember listening to radiohead the first time and hating them.

But I listened to them more and I fell in love with them:smiley:

well gimme a break its my very first time hearing the song and not being a fan of the group its gonna be hard to just love it but as I listen to them I might beg to differ.

well every member of Radiohead are some of the best in the world today at their respective instruments. Coldplay music, while great, is mostly very simple and sometimes repetitive. Radiohead music is brilliantly structured, sometimes innovative, and changes with each new album.

 

Strictly musically speaking, Radiohead are far superior to Coldplay. It doesn't determine who's better or worse, but it's pretty obvious that Radiohead have far better and more creative instrumentals than Coldplay.
