Hurts like Heaven "Oh you, use your heart as a weapon And it hurts like heaven" This song background about companies of the two friends One exploits the other, but they're still friends and find compassion for each other despite an abusive friend the second friend UFO The aliens come and destroy Earth Princess of China "You could have been the princess, I'd be a king Could have had a castle and wore a ring But, no-oooh, you let me go-oooh" The main character in this song (one of the friends) arguing with his girlfriend and they broke up. Car Kids This song the two friends are kidnapped by aliens This song is the first encounter between man and alien, which symbolizes this icon Us against the world the friends are reconcile in the spacecraft And vent their feelings "Like a river to a raindrop, I lost a friend" "Through chaos as it swirls It’s just us against the world Through chaos as it swirls It’s us against the world" Major minus "You got one eye watching you And one eye what to do So be careful who is it you're talking to" the friends are try to escape but the aliens watch But they're together! "Don't be be don't believe a word It's just us against the world And we just gotta turn to be heard" Major ninus is actually ship's control room Charlie Brown the two friends manage to break free and they happy And explore together They are the best "We'll run wild We'll be glowing in the dark" Golden Arrow The main character was reconciled with his girlfriend This time the aliens destroy Earth But something goes wrong in the control room and exploding aliens Every teardrop is a waterfall Music that's all! DLIBYH End of the album Exciting song Alien Radio Radio delivered the news of major minus aliens radio station It is through the media of aliens So what is MX? MX is an acronym for M-Xylobrytes or MAJOR Xylobrytes Anyway what it Xylobrytes? Xylobrytes it type of the aliens What is MAJOR Xylobrytes? That's the name of the the spacecraft grabs the main character. :D
July 13, 201115 yr Hmmm interesting. I have a similar idea, but mine involves time travel and is more abstract. But I think whatever it turns out to be, we'll be able to envision our own story. I even have story in my head for VLVoDAAHF. I enjoyed how you broke it down track by track, I should have done that in my thread, but I was too lazy :embarrassed:

X&Y really had nothing at all to do with space. Sure a few songs had a spacey sound to them, but we're talking bout the story here, not the sound. I don't think musically LP5 will sound at all similar to X&Y or any other Coldplay album, it will sound like LP5. As for the story I love the whole space/graffiti thing!

I also share your sentiment, I wouldn't want it to sound like X&Y either, that is my least favorite album(sorry to X&Y fans), but I do like a lot of songs from it as well, it's just not up to par with the other 3. But about the story, how do you feel about the whole idea of it being about space? Or does the graffiti thing catch your attention more? Cause my theory is it will be about both.:smug:

July 14, 201115 yr I feel it shall be, a cohesive conceptual LP5. I wonder whether there is a Separation scene as the pragonists will be in different "worlds" [with different dimentions etc.] Would love see the final clue connecting each song, especially, the number in MTM.

July 15, 201115 yr I think that the new album look like every album together. that alien think is really great. the album contains: - high sounds (elements with a xylophone) - songs like clocks,speed of sound,talk these song look the same like HLH or CB - old school coldplay like some songs of parachutes - A viva la vida hit, that we hear very much on the radio (like viva la vida ----> princess of china) - a little bit of electric sound - the artwork will be colorfull, like the piano
July 15, 201115 yr ^ I've been thinking the same. Based off what we heard from Moving to Mars, I think Coldplay will incorporate a little bit of every era into this album. The acoustic-y charm of Parachutes ---> Us Against The World The brilliant lyrics of ARoBttH ---> Moving to Mars and possibly Major Minus The synth-y backgrounds and riffs of X&Y ---> MX/Hurts Like Heaven The unique instrumental sounds and lyrical themes of Viva ---> Princess of China
