Inspiration for the walking man?

Featured Replies

I was searching for a picture to renew my avatar, so I put "Spray Can" on google and I found this:

It looks a lot like the Waking Man.

This work is from Julien Vallée (http://www.jvallee.com/index_jvallee.html) a graphic designer and art director from Montreal.

What do you think?

I think that would make a neat album cover or something.

Nice find! It does seem similar.

Nono don't take me bad. It's just like the other guy said: It would make a good cover. :)

I emailed the artist. I'm waiting for her response.

Dude, I've already told you what the Walking Man is. Matt Pyke and Universal Everything teamed up with Coldplay and used Matt's earlier artwork as a basis to make the animated design for the band.

Go to this website http://mattpyke.com/exhibitions/super-computer-romantics press Ctrl+F and type in "Giant" in the search tool that comes up. Then watch the video below of the original walking man.

You can also just go to http://universaleverything.com/

It's "What you hope it is". All we can do here is guessing, no one can be sure of anything without a pronouncement.

Ok you convinced me.

But I still like that picture.

Plus: that is a wonderful art thought. That walking man. Some way of downloading that??

It would be cool if the album cover had a bunch of those walking men (all different) in a line or something :P

I like this picture!

This is probably completely unrelated to the running man but I was watching the video to Speed of Sound.

At the end the backdrop reminded me so much of the blend of colours for the running man! It was kinda uncanny

Also I think it was at Lollapalooza when they did MX/Hurts Like Heaven the running man became a bird?? 'Birds go flying at the speed of sound...'

Just a fun find :)
