Caroline
Yesterday I thought that Chris should have recorded the name and post it with the announcement. That way it would be very clear how is the pronunciation. I was just thinking the same thing. They should have made a video announcement, so we know how to say it properly. MosesTheMarshmallow
why is it pronounced le-toe when its spelled loto Think of the world "xylophone" as an above poster said. It's not pronounced xy-low-phone, but xy-luh-phone. I bet each member of the band will pronounce it differently.
MartinFan
The band will be saying it alot for everyone soon I expect, I find it rather easy to pronounce, what the hell is the meaning is another thing:lol:
Violet
Clearly the boys didn't take the pronounciation issue into consideration before naming the album the way they did. -shakes head- However, it's good to know that's been cleared up. :nice:
LittleMissMessy
Honestly ... I think there are things way more important to worry about ;) I can already see/hear MANY radio DJs struggling with the correct pronuciation of the album title and meticulousy fans will start rolling their eyes because they don't get it right. For me, it's the content that counts. The music. And I don't care how the songs will be called as long as I like the melodies & harmonies. I have such a soft spot for good melodies :) And a good bassline :wink3: :sneaky:

Abracadabra
Ok, I must say the Xyloto part gives me trouble. From what I've figured it is pronounced Zy-lee-to, not Zy-loh-to, right?

Dear Oracle, In , right before Jonny's main riff kicks in at 2:35, does Chris yell out 'Mylo Xyloto'?? Thanks :) Love the album title by the way. The Oracle replies: Er, in a word, no. Abracadabra
Why would you doubt what Debs says about it? I didn't mean to say I doubt what Debs says, I meant I'm not sure if my own pronunciation based on Debs' instructions is right. I hope you understand. cbelle94
I had a hard time pronouncing the name for a while. At first, I kept wanting to put emphasis on the "le" in Xyloto for some odd reason. I think I've got it down now, though. (: Now I understand :) Maybe this is helpful (click on listen) Haha wow. That's pretty cool that GT can pronounce it pretty dang correctly.
