September 3, 201114 yr I think Mylo Xyloto is doomed if they make ETIAW the first or last track. MX/HLH should be first, and I just do not think that the drumming outro makes a good closer. No offense to the Champion, but it's just too blunt. I could see it as maybe the second or third track, maybe even second to last, but not the first, last, or towards the middle. :\

Although I love how the song ends, if the album ended with just drumming, it wouldn't be a very good ending :\ Unless there was a hidden track or something. We will find out soon enough.

I think the album will end with ETIAW, but there will be a hidden track that is a variant of MX that actually closes the album off. It'll be similar to what the Killers did with Sam's Town - it ends with a full circle. That's just a feeling I have.
September 3, 201114 yr Somewhen I read a question to the Oracle where the asker said he noticed the ending beat of ETIAW is pretty symilar to "I Ran Away"'s beat, so he was wondering if there was a small chance of seeing CDP playing IRA following to ETIAW. The Oracle responded that this wouldn't happen, 'cause althoug the beats are close, they have very different tempos, so it wasn't appropriate. AND, she (IT :P) also said that the band thinks ETIAW is the perfect closer to the hole set, since it gives and takes the certain amount of energy and enthusiasm from/to the crowd. That is why I would bet ETIAW (unfortunatelly) WILL close MX.
September 3, 201114 yr Here's my theory about the artwork on the back cover and the tracklist and I think it makes sense... At least based on what info I gathered. If the album is a "concept album" and follows a narrative, then the "conflict" has to occur somewhere near the middle of the story. If you take the songs we have all heard, then I highly doubt "ETIAW" could be anywhere but the end... If at all. Firstly, it "feels" like the end... Unless the story takes a strange twist. But we have been told it ends as a "happy ending". "Paradise" is upbeat, so I imagine that towards the back as well. But I digress. Also, the artwork has to be due at some point VERY SOON to make deadline... And it would make sense that since they are still unsure, to at least have the front and back cover done. Just a hunch. Nothing more... I would write more but my fingers are killing me on my Crackberry.

A good album closer. :wacky:
September 3, 201114 yr In a lot of albums, there's always that great big BANG that is the penultimate track and then something extremely emotional and heartfelt at the end (Set Yourself On Fire: Soft Revolution and Calendar Girl; Forgiveness Rock Record: Water In Hell and Me And My Hand; High Violet: England and Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks; Absolution: Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist and Ruled By Secrecy). I could see ETIAW as a penultimate track, kind of the celebration towards the end. Then the final track could be something really solemn that kind of looks back on it all. And in response to john: I'm sure that they have the tracklist finalized at this point and they've probably sent it in for the album. They're probably just finishing everything now.

Because of your above theory, I changed my tracklisting!

September 8, 201114 yr Are you just making up the we're doing...in someone else's... and the don't cry until you see the white of their eyes? He's taking "artistic liberties." Of course he's making it up. :sneaky:
September 8, 201114 yr Yes, my writing in Photoshop sucks! And yes, the lyrics are just made up BASED on some semblance of the theme. "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes", etc.
October 8, 201114 yr no you dont understand what i mean, for the very first and second art work how did you make it so that inside the letters was the mx cover, and in the out line of the letter?
October 8, 201114 yr Thanks guys ;) You need to get the Symbols as Pins which you can wear on the Jacket that would rock.
October 8, 201114 yr Oh that's very true! Then I'll just need some orange or brown pants and the Palladium Boots, that are really giving me a headache to buy :laugh3:
