Mark
Someone's already probably mentioned this, but if you check on Spotify, it lists Major Minus and Every Teardrop as having single and album versions. I thought those that hadn't seen would appreciate this, given the dislike of the vocal effects on MM.
Batmotor
yeah i notiched it.But it wont change a thing i think.
pipp088
i really hope they: change chris' voice / add jonny's guitar after the first verse just like the live version..it would be awesome
ColdplayingfromKansas
I seem to be a part of the minority that likes the vocal effects  But I wish they would incorporate the echoes on the guitar--those sounded beastly. As for ETiaW, I think it needs to have some of the synths stripped away . . . maybe incorporate a piano at the beginning instead of the synth loop? If the album versions are different, that is

Mark
They'll probably tweak both songs slightly I'd say.. Similarly to how Kanye West altered songs on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. But I think to swap the ETIAW synth with piano is too drastic a change. Cleggy
Here it is to anybody who doesn't have Spotify. I think this makes it a very strong possibility that there will be a different mix on the album, especially considering they were still working on the album until very recently. I have a feeling that rather than taking things away they'll be adding more unfortunately. In my opinion taking off a few layers would improve both the songs greatly. One of the most likely changes is probably going to be an ambient intro and outro to the songs so they flow into the next song on the album. This is supposed to be a single piece of music after all. ColdplayingfromKansas
^ :surprised: Cool, I think that really gives us a good chance of getting another version on the album, then. Thanks, Cleggy  Although I really hope they don't add more layers of stuff  An ambient intro/outro is fine, but no more synths crammed on top of what we already have. Blue Nails
^ Agreed, please not more synths.... Major Minus is perfect as it is IMO, but I wouldn't mind a stripped down ETIAW. Don't think they will be very different though.

ETiaW has grown on me some, but it's still one of my least favorite from this era.
MosesTheMarshmallow
I'm almost happy with how ETIAW and MM are as is. Synth intro/outros or just general space would be okay. The only thing I'd like is for MM to have more of the guitar of the live version - harmonics after the 1st chorus, and more general Jonny beastliness. Oh yes, moar guitarrr, yes yes yes. This song is all Jonny, why can't we hear that on the live version?!
admnistramation
It's probably just a more fluid mix with the rest of the album, nothing too special. They're not going to strip it down in any which way... although I would NOT mind an acoustic incarnate of ETIAW later down the road...
Kiame
lol how does the fact they are a few seconds different mean anything? I'd be very surprised if the songs actually had a different mix. The difference will be like the difference between the two Paradise versions.
