the boys ignored to leave the stage

Featured Replies

i dont know if everybody is aware of this, but i think it is rather interesting. Coldplay where asked to leave the stage during their letterman show thing, but they refused to leave. that is why there isnt a live version of us against the world on ColdplayVEVO acount on youtube. the crew from letterman started to turn of the power to there instruments and chris and will sang UATW with no mics.

here is the link to my information-http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/3829993/Coldplaying-up-on-Letterman-show.html

I didnt know they were told to leave and refused, I thought they just decided to com back on and do some more after the kit had been cleared away. Thanks for the info!

Wow. :surprised:

I didn't know about this either. Thanks!

Don't believe anything you read that comes from The Sun.

Oh dear!!!!! I never saw that it was from The Sun, that is why we didn't hear it because its probably bollocks!

really is the sun not reliable ??? but seriously this is coldplay and this is letterman, there is no way they would let coldplay play with instruments that are switched of.

i'm sure this story is true even if the sun is shit :d

Ill just leave this here

I don't think this is true.

The reason why their mics and instruments were cut was because like Chris said before he played UATW, they didn't plan on doing an encore.

So the Letterman crew turned everything off after the last song.

The audience didn't want to leave and wanted an encore, which is why Chris came back out and said something like... We're sorry, we didn't prepare for an encore because we thought that you New Yorkers would be dying to catch a cab after the last song.

And then they ended up playing UATW.

I think The Sun, as usual, have created controversy and a problem where there isn't one.

It's called an Encore people.

And "NOBODY PUTS COLDPLAY IN A CORNER"

Screw Letterman.

Coldplay >>>> Leno > Letterman

Don't believe anything you read from the tabloids. Especially not from the sun.

Looking back over the footage again, it's very clear that they weren't "told to leave" or "kicked off". The reason their equipment was turned off was because they finished their setlist and hadn't told the Letterman crew they were doing an encore.

Some idiot at the Sun probably saw this and thought it meant they were kicked off.

And that's that.

Conan's lost it. Loved his show back in the day, but the whole Tonight Show thing seems to have drained him.

Yeah because people wanted Coldplay to get off the stage, they're totally not the source of why the views probably gained around 30% or something.

hmmm

Chelsea Lately > Letterman > Fallon > Kimmel > the ones that I dont really care about >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Leno (joke stealer)

Screw Letterman.

I completely agree with this order. You have my seal of approval.
