I think this is the official track, for some reasons:

 

1) The copyright section at the end of the clip

2) The instrumental part seems more complete and without noises

3) The piano part has an echo that the live version doesn't have

4) In this track, the 'whoo' of Chris is not there!

True, i wasn't listening that carefully. there definitely isn't the 'woo' sound in there like there is in the David Letterman one. Also, the xylophone is a bit different..... either a very good edit using different versions of the song put together really well or it oculd be legit because it is definitely different from the David Letterman version :stunned:

Sounds very real, even I can't tell if it's real or not and I have a good ear.

 

Must say though that at the end, it kinda sounds like you can hear a crowd cheering, so it could be an amazingly edited live version.

It's a live version of the song edited to louder and with crowd noised muffled out.

 

Admittedly, it is a really good edit - but it has way too much echo and isn't crisp enough for it to be the studio version.

Yeah. Maybe he/she only has the MX track, that is really echooey and has crowd noises in it. Apparently Coldplay recorded the studio version outside of the studio.

 

Or they've just edited the sound.
