....1.Would you describe MYLO XYLOTO as a concept album?

Chris-If it was 1974, I would. But in 2011, you're not really allowed to admit that.

 

2.With the albums grooves, you have to dance more. So how's your dancing?

Chris-I'd get sent home from the first audition of So You Think You Can Dance. My dancing is sort of controlled spasms. I fully accept it might appear ridiculous. But it's passionate!

 

3. Which song always make you get your groove on?

Chris- There are two: "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees and "Dont Stop Till You Get Enough" by the King of Pop.

 

4.How did the Rihanna duet on this album, "Princess of China", come about?

Chris-I asked her when we did a New Year's show with Jay-Z in Las Vegas. I'm a little bit intimidated by Rihanna because I'm a big fan, and you know, girls are intimidating-especially famous ones.

I love the song "Don't Stop til you Get Enough!"

 

If I happen to be the one to buy groceries tomorrow (and not hubby) then I will discreetly slip a copy at the checkout!

5. Five albums in with Coldplay, what's the biggest difference between your latest and the first one?

Chris-Well, this album I actually have a haircut! Before, it was either shaved or grown just one random length. And I would probaly not believe(back then) who I 'd be married to now. I'd be high-fiving all over the place.

 

6. What's your favorite Coldplay song?

Chris-"Fix You" is the song I'm most graetful for. That one got us through a very dark time as as band-we lost our way for a while. But my favorite songs are always someone else's, like "Empire State of Mind" , "Use Somebody" or "Someone LIke You". Those songs make me think"back to the drawing board!"

 

7. Since you're friends with Jay-Z, any advice for the expectant parents?

Chris-Man, I'm the last person who can give advice. Every day is just like you're bluffing as best as you can to and try not f*ck it up.

 

8. Where do you see yourself and Coldplay in 10 years?

Chris-I would love us to still be as close of a gang as we are now. I can't see us not wanting to play music together-even if it is just outside of Taco Bell.

God I love him. He is just so cool.

hahaha! I'd go.. LOL. I'm a pretty spastic dancer too.. When I've ever done aerobics, everyone else is turning one way, I'm turning the other! LOL!

I have like one signature move when I dance, and thats it. I just shake my booty alot. And right now, thats no good because I just had a baby so I got alot of extra "junk in the trunk". lol :P

I wanted to make sure it was the right issue so the kid at checkout helped me thumb through the pages to find the article. When we did, I just saw Chris' face with a huge smile and before I knew what I was doing, I just kissed it. LOL The kid couldn't stop laughing. Oh well!

I would go watch them play at Taco Bell and I would even consider leaving a tip. Haha.
