November 2, 201114 yr Hopeful Transmission is the best instrumental. But MMIX "works" the best. ETIAW sounds way better after UATW and MMIX than it did when it was a single.
November 2, 201114 yr MX/Hurts Like Heaven ! and after listening HLH, my brain wants to hear Yellow because of the summer festival setlist.
November 2, 201114 yr UIF>AHT>DLIBYH>UWTB makes the album :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: For me MX>HLH>P>CB>UATW makes the album
November 3, 201114 yr You can listen to DLIBYH without AHT and it sounds fine. But if you just start up HLH without MX, it sounds weird.
November 10, 201114 yr I personally think the transition from POC to Up In Flames is the best. True, the tracks don't actually bleed into one another, but I think it sums up the two sides of the album brilliantly. POC is this big, epic moment and is quickly transitions to UIF, which is so sparse and stripped down. Prior to the album, Jonny talked about wanted to have really huge moments on the record and really intimate moments. This is a good example. Thus, POC to UIF is my fav transition
November 11, 201114 yr definitely AHP to DLIBYH for me. I love that build up to those awesome drums :dazzled:
November 12, 201114 yr For me, Hurts Like Heaven can't/shouldn't be played without Mylo Xyloto. Don't Let It Break Your Heart however has a really lovely pounding that opens it. A Hopeful Transmission is merely a bonus. MMIX is an afterthought. Thought that was obvious...?
November 13, 201114 yr Mylo Xyloto/Hurts Like Heaven... but that's probably because I heard it all summer.
