I bought the album today

 

The CD has a flower on it. So I guess I liked it enough to spend $7.99.

Here it's €16,- for the CD. Too expensive, I'll wait 'till the prize drops. Then it'll be mine :sneaky:

 

5.5 for Pitchfork is okay? Niiiice, that means my favorite band is amazing according to them (;)). They always got > 8 for their album reviews.

I'm kinda pleasantly surprised by the album cos I didn't buy into the hype. I'd give it 3,5 / 5.

Yes! It came on shuffle the other day, and I thought it was Bittersweet Symphony at first..which was weird cause I don't even have that song on my ipod anymore.

Coldplay approves.

 

And her album debuted at #2 in the US. #1 is still... wait for it... Adele. :freak:

 

So now she's officially like totally gay and not hipster anymore.

I'm obsessed with Summertime Sadness and Without You.

Some other tracks are good, but not terribly impressed.

 

 

 

Though my expectations were low, and a few songs did surprise me a small bit.

Had to give her album a listen since everyone is talking about it.

 

I think I agree with Pitchfork, the reccuring lyrical themes get a bit much. But the best songs (Born to Die for one) are really, really good.

I just think it's a really badly-written song. Kasabian's last album was their fourth and it seemed like a massive push for stadiums, headlining slots and to fill the Oasis-sized hole that British music has. This is supposed to be "a heartbreak ballad" but it feels wrong all over. It's poor, imo.

 

But Lana makes it sound right-er.

That performance was astonishing!

I love her album,but not a fan of her live show.:embarrassed:

All I know about her live is that I saw her when she was on "American Idol" not too long ago, and she sounded awful. I was severely disappointed.
