For me, it's piano.

Piano, definitely.

and btw, yesterday's setlist was once again complitely different from that Nottingham setlist. They played Citizen Erased but there were no songs from Showbiz album at all.

There's an incredible 'feeling' and 'presence' when he plays, like you said. I'm no expert when it comes to playing the guitar, so I have to admit I don't know anything about the technical side. But I do believe he is very talented and he could develop his technical skills if he wanted to. But clearly that's not so important to him and in a way I think the way he plays is exactly how it should be for Muse (that sounded bit strange but you know what I mean!) For me, it's the 'feeling' that matters. ;)

Here's the setlist from last night (Nottingham 17.11.)

1. Take A Bow

2. Starlight

3. Supermassive Black Hole

4. Map of the Problematique

5. A Soldier's Poem

6. Invincible

7. Assassin (extended)

8. Exo-Politics

9. City of Delusion

10. Hoodoo

11. Knights of Cydonia + Bliss balloons

Encore

12. Sunburn

13. Newborn

14. Plug In Baby

15. Hysteria

16. Time Is Running Out

17. Stockholm Syndrome

:stunned:

they played BH&R in its entirety!

at least one thing's for sure; you'll never know what kind of setlist they're going to play for any gig, it could be anything!

I know what you are saying, I love Muse for that, mixing it up each show. I wish all artist would do that. I was happy that in July, we got a really good mix of all the albums, and we got Forced In also.

:D I wish they would come to Mi again.

Oh my friggin god, i'm seeing Muse tomorrow!!!!! :shocked2:

oh lucky you!!! have a great time! but it's Muse so of course you will :D

I'm so hoping they'll soon announce some new tour dates for next year.. *fingers crossed* I'd be happy with any setlist really, but it's interesting to see how they keep changing for every gig.

today at work some customer had 'Bliss' as a ringtone and that was so random it made my day.. never heard any Muse ringtones anywhere before (except my own of course;))

you've probably seen this many times already but imo it's worth being posted once again.. the making of Bliss.. Chris is "too big for space":laugh3:

oh lucky you!!! have a great time! but it's Muse so of course you will :D

I'm so hoping they'll soon announce some new tour dates for next year.. *fingers crossed*

Thnx i'm sure i will, this is my first time seeing them live too so i'm really excited!! :D

Btw Matt mentioned recently that he'd maybe like to do a seaside tour next year. I think it's an awesome idea: Muse, a beach and some sunshine - what more could u ask for?! :nice:

Yes I've heard something about a seaside tour too, who knows they just might do that!

oh and when you get back from the gig let us know how it was.. :)

If they're touring again next year in Europe then I'll seriously have to think about travelling abroad to see them unless they'll come to Finland. They've been here 5 times before so maybe they'll come back again.. I'm just worried that it's not up to them anymore and that it's a question of managers, money and business and all that.. but I'm still hoping!

oh the jealousy, ppl who've heard sunburn TWO WAYS!

the piano's the focal point of the song though-and i prefer matt on his piano.so gotta be taht!

a seaside tour hmmmm

they'd HAVE to do Sunburn on that!:laugh3:

ANYBODY HEARD THE REMIX OF SUNBURN?

I FORGOT THE SITE BUT IF YOU WANT ILL UPLOAD FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS IT

woot woooot tonight!!!

I second that!!!

Woo wooooo!!! :D What songs are you hoping for tonight?

Im not sure what their recent set lists are like....but i'd really love to hear (excluding BHAR & the obvious ones) New Born, Stockholm Syndrome and Sunburn. I wish they'd play The Groove but I guess they don't play that anymore :( It's my one of my top fave Muse songs.

I'm pretty excited now!

Omg, you guys will have so much fun.

Muse is my favorite live show after Coldplay.

you'll definitely have an amazing night!!! have fun!

oh and by the way, if you happen to talk to some of them please tell them we're waiting for them to come here too haha! ;):D

I'm sure they'll do a big show tonight, guess Wembley is the main stage after all. Probably BH&R tracks, Hysteria, Stockholm, PiB, New Born, Bliss and who knows, maybe some Showbiz tracks too. Citizen Erased would make it perfect.

but still, have a great time! :)

Muse were amazing in Newcastle ... absolutely stunning and the crowd were fantastic too.

i had the best time ever ..

at the start of the night, i was about 8 rows from the front, standing, then when Muse came on the crowd went mental and there was a huge crowd surge forward. Everyone at the front got crushed really and people were fainting and getting dragged out of the crowd .. it calmed down after Assassin and it really was amazing! ... Fantastic performance and if you haven't seen Muse already, you really are missing out.

They are the best.

Heres the setlist from Newcastle: 19/11/2006

1. Take a Bow

2. Hysteria

3. New Born

4. Butterflies & Hurricanes

5. Assassin

6. Map of the Problematique

7. Starlight

8. Invincible

9. Forced In

10. Time is Running Out

11. Supermassive Black Hole

12. Plug in Baby

13. Stockholm Syndrome

14. Apocalypse Please

15. Bliss

16. Hoodoo

17. Knights of Cydonia

It was out of this world, one more song would have been nice and if that was Citizen Erased i would have been taken to heaven, however it was amazing as it was and i'm blown for words. :D :D :D

OMG STEPH ................

HOW WAS IT -----------

I NEED TO KNOW

JUST. WOW!

Im too tired to type write now lmfao, i've never gone so nuts at a gig in my life. :laugh4:

I think i'll type up a proper review tomorrow

But yeah - fucking brilliant!!!!

YUP!!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! just watched some of my films....and I got a few photos...but tomorrow. :D

HGEIWHGREOJGEROPGJEROQGHE!!!!!!!!!! MUSE foooookin ROOOOOOCK!!!!!! :dead:

I was there last night too and now i'm gonna attempt to write a review, although i'm still kinda tired, so bear with me.

It was the first time i'd ever seen Muse live so as u can imagine i was really excited and really wanted to be near the front. Well we ended up about a third/a quarter of the way away from the stage right over by the wall on the left hand side, which was great as it turned out cos for most of concert i had a really good view. When Muse came on stage and started playing Take a Bow everyone (myself included :D) just went absolutely mental!! I still have that going round my head right now :stunned: After that they did Hysteria which was defo one of my faves. I can remember what songs they played but i can't remember what order all of them came in after Hysteria. It was an amazing setlist. Highlights for me included SMBH, TIRO, Invincible, Citizen Erased (i still can't believe i got to watch them play this :shocked2: :dead:) and seeing them perform KOC right at the end was really special - i think i just lost it when that riff kicked in :dead:

Matt looked amazing - he had his hair all ruffled up (i love it like when it's like that ) and was wearing black trousers and a what looked like a black sort of military style jacket with a floaty bit at the end of his left sleeve

There was a sort of ledge that extended from our side of the stage, right in my line of vision, which meant when Matt came over there i had an almost completely unobstructed view of him. There was an amp on the end of it and at one point he sort of detuned his guitar over it, which has to be one of the coolest things i have ever seen :shocked2:

I'm sure i've missed stuff out but i can't think what else to say atm and my ears are still ringing lol (i knew they were gonna be loud but fucking hell!! :stunned:) But it was one of the best concerts i've ever been to!! I'll try and add more details as i remember them.

Hey Sarah, it sounds like we were in pretty much the same space, lol!! I got some videos and photos too, especially when Matt was on that platform bit...will post them later. My favourite song had to be Stockholm Syndrome..just incredible.:shocked2:

mmm stockholm syndrome. not long till muse come to melbourne! woohoo! all this excitement is killing me :P

Hey Sarah' date=' it sounds like we were in pretty much the same space, lol!! I got some videos and photos too, especially when Matt was on that platform bit...will post them later. My favourite song had to be Stockholm Syndrome..just incredible.:shocked2:[/quote']

Cool! I'd love to see some videos from last night, i just can't get enough of them atm. I'm on cloud nine and i can't come down! :D Yeh i agree, Stockholm Syndrome was just awesome :shocked2: Oooh and extended Assassin!!! :dead:

I really hope and pray that they bring out a dvd of this tour (although i don't know if there are any plans to) cos i'm desperate to relive the whole thing (really wish i was going again ) and it has to be seen to be believed!
