Yes, Coldplay was amazing!

From: http://jamesklambert.wordpress.com/2012/08/11/yes-coldplay-was-amazing/

The first time I remember hearing about Coldplay, was the video for Yellow – the guy just walking along the beach – the next thing I knew, they were this world famous group with several albums and multiple hits. I didn’t jump at the chance to see them live, but I’m glad I finally said, “yes,” and would certainly see them again.

When we first walked into the arena, they gave us all wristbands. One of the security people told us that the bands would light up during the show. “You’re sure they’re not for controlling our minds?” I asked him. “I hope not,” he replied. As it turns out, he was right, they were only for lighting up, and the effect was fantastic; making everyone a part of the show.

Here they are, doing my favorite song by them, The Scientist.

And this was supercool. For the encore, they come out into the audience for a couple songs, pretty close to us. Here’s one, Us Against The World.

There are plenty of cynical, preachy artists in the world. I love the fact that these guys come across as nice, good people, who enjoy what they do and just want to make their fans happy. If you get the chance to see them, don’t hesitate.

Cool pic, that's my sister! There were seven of us who had an amazing night! My daughter had a sign that said your biggest little Coldplay fan turned 11 today. About 4 songs into the set a roadie walked over to my daughter and said happy birthday from all of us and gave her an autographed photo of the guys!! Later on she got a set list! She was so happy she was in tears! Lol definetly an unforgettable night!

Coldplay rocks St. Paul this weekend!

coldplay(1).JPG

Coldplay fans of all ages gathered at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Friday night, the first of two shows completing the band's North American tour.

Frontman, Chris Martin and his Grammy-winning band mates delivered an energy-packed show from start to finish.

Several themes of the night included glowing neon, colorful confetti and balloons of all shapes and sizes.

The show kicked off with a fun surprise for 15,000 concertgoers who were given a Xyloband (wristband) at the entrance with #Coldplay Film written on it.

As the band rocked out to their first song, "Mylo Xyloto," the remote-controlled bracelets blinked in all different colors -- that combined with bright lasers created an incredible light show for the fans and Coldplay as they gazed all around the venue.

Typically, confetti showers the crowd at the end of a concert, but during the third song of the night, "In My Place," it rained colorful butterflies, exclamation points, hearts and flowers.

Chris Martin playfully dove through the neon confetti that blanketed the stage several times!

Kudos to the creative director and stage people for designing the most fan-friendly atmosphere.

Chris Martin sprinted across every inch of the stage, including the walk-way that wrapped around the back end of the stage.

He and his mates paid plenty of giddy-fans a visit who sat back there!

Huge circular screens were suspended from the ceiling with constant video flashing so people could get a glimpse of the action no matter how near or far they were sitting from the stage.

This is Coldplay's first North American tour in nearly three years.

The band is touring to promote it's fifth and latest Platinum record, "Mylo Xyloto," which topped the charts in 34 countries.

Band members include Chris Martin (married to Gwenyth Paltrow), Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion.

"Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" and "Paradise" have both received Grammy nominations.

The 95-minute set is chock-full of latest hits such as "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" and "Paradise," both of which have received Grammy nominations.

The second half of the show also includes popular hits such as "Fix You, Viva La Vida, Clocks and Yellow."

OMG OMG OMG

Ok so this is my first post and I'm sooo excited to share my story!! My

sister and I went to last night's concert in Minnesota with my mom.

Just got back actually lol. It was my first concert and the greatest thing

I've ever seen in my life! <3 The xylobands are the greatest thing to

happen since sliced bread (yes, that good).

Anyways, we had to drive back to Missouri today so we left a

little bit early ):. I think right before the last song. After we got our

car out of the parking lot and started to head away from the arena, we

noticed a couple of black SUVs leaving the ramp going very fast. We

jokingly said that was Coldplay and we should follow, so we did. Then we went to their hotel!! OMG At first we were hoping they

wouldn't think we were like some crazy people, but when they got out they

were sooo nice, it was totally awesome! They let us take a few pictures with them and Phil even took one of all of us with the band <3<3.

We had to promise not to post any of the pictures though )): uber sad. They said it would encourage other people to do it, even though they didn't mind lol. I can't believe we got to see the best show ever and meet my favorite band. I never

thought this would be possible.

LOVE YOUR GUYS!! <3<3<3

Thank you Coldplay!!
