So, Charlie Brown debuted at the UK top 40 on 30 :)

After the Brits, this is the result of sales in the UK:

MX at 6 in the Albums Chart (last week it was 11)

Paradise at 23 in the Singles Chart (last week it was 24)

Charlie Brown at 30 in the Singles Chart (last week it was 115)

"Coldplay’s pyrotechnic-filled show opener Charlie Brown, shoots up 85 places to Number 30, also with an uplift of 387%. Accompanying album Mylo Xyloto benefits from a 36% increase in sales since last week."

Yey it's official. :nice: Now go up!

Was it released 10 weeks ago or it charted regardless of not being a single? Cos it says 'new' AND '10 weeks in chart'. :|

I think it charted regardless of not being a single, cause you know, no announcement or anything. Unless someone in the Coldplay crew in charge of announcing that kind of stuff just completely forgot to tell us. :whip:

Anyway, that's good, that's good. Whenever I read the Coldplay sales updates thread or something like that, I can't help but having an evil laugh and thinking "yeaah......let's dominate the world, Coldplay! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA" :sneaky:

It's above Someone Like You! :D

I think it's in the top 100 for 10 weeks but new to top 40.

If you get what I meant.

The Brits definitely helped with the song charting this week.

Hopefully, it will climb up next week. Will definitely be checking the iTunes chart as a basis all next week.

Well, at least it's going better than Lost! and LiJ, that I think didn't make the top 40

Yeah #38 this week, and all signs point to it being released on March 19th. Hopefully an official announcement from Coldplay comes out this week.

Also, in terms of Airplay:

01 02 Gotye feat Kimbra Somebody That I Used To Know

02 01 Emeli Sande Next To Me

03 03 Jessie J Domino

04 04 David Guetta feat Sia Titanium

05 08 Coldplay Charlie Brown

06 05 DJ Fresh feat Rita Ora Hot Right Now

07 06 Olly Murs Dance With Me Tonight

08 07 Kelly Clarkson Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)

09 09 Alyssa Reid feat Jump Smokers Alone Again

10 14 Flo Rida feat Sia Wild Ones

All the other songs on the Airplay list are in or near the top 10 in the singles chart. So, in a sense, good news for CB as when it is released officially (digitally) it will move up the charts.

On the midweek update Charlie is up to 33 and Paradise is down to 37, wich means it's the first time CB is above Para-para :D

CB is doing well in the UK iTunes chart as well. It's currently 16th. It's been going up the chart all this week, so who knows where it will end up.

Paradise is currently 37th

Charlie Brown is #25 at the Midweek Update on the UK Singles Chart.

Highest Peak.

The Midweek Chart Update occurs twice during the week, once on Wednesday and once on Friday.

The Wednesday update from March 14th had CB at 33.
