The headphones? It was REALLY loud at the Weenie Roast, even backstage. The backstage area was all open air, and just on the other side of the stage. He's wearing the headset so he can hear the questions of the interviewer.

If it's Tinnitus, it won't go away. You'd be able to hear it even after you stopped using the headphones. A lot of other ear conditions can produce similar yet reversable symptoms though.

 

I hope it's not tinnitus or a starting stage, i'm going to talk to my doctor about it but it has made me aware how you can damage your ears.

The guy who is interviewing Chris is a Belgian musician who is suffering from tinnitis too, he is some kind of godfather for an organization that is putting the attention on the importance of wearing earplugs at concerts,...

 

He is the one that did the interviews at the AHFOD launch for a Belgian music station.
