Baby born at Glastonbury

Festival-going couple deliver their own 'Glastonbury Girl' at the Ivy Mead medical centre on site – and name her Ivy

Shortly after the Rolling Stones reworked the lyrics of Factory Girl especially for revellers in Somerset, a festival-going couple welcomed the arrival of their very own Glastonbury Girl.

Heidi Wesson and Sean Crothers's daughter was delivered in the early hours of Sunday. Inspector Shirley Eden, from Avon and Somerset police, said: "She gave birth yesterday in the Ivy Mead centre – and they then decided to call the baby Ivy."

A Glastonbury spokesman confirmed the birth. After a number of congratulatory messages on Facebook, Wesson wrote: "We are all fine and fabulous thanks to everyone for looking after us we are over the moon and a little shattered xxx"

As well as Crothers, she had friends on hand to help her through the labour.

Tracy Harrison wrote: "Well not quite what I expected from my night off just helped deliver a beautiful daughter for Heidi 'Drainer' Wesson and sean. thank you for waiting til nanna got there.... Lindsey Harrison thank you for been there x x x love you all x x x very much a Glastonbury baby x x"

Terry Colborne, who said he is Wesson's cousin, wrote that she was the "only woman i know who when eight months pregnant would go to glastonbury in that condition – good job they were in a caravan lol!!"

Jesus Christ.

Please let it be Coldplay please let it be Coldplay please :bomb:

(I'm actually planning to go to Glastonbury next year)

Hmmm, I doubt Coldplay will do it next year, 2011 is still quite recent (especially as 2012 was skipped).

Radiohead are waaaaay overdue to headline again, secret unannounced appearances are not good enough

The hardest part with Glastonbury is getting tickets.

After a glorious year, come October it will be another record-beating year for ticket sales.

140,000 odd in 90 minutes
