Glastonbury 2013

I'd say they definitely are in the same league, but I may be wrong.

If you'd have said "I Might Be Wrong", that would have been a nice reference.

I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing, I just think. Radiohead aren't the most exciting act for ever-commericialising festival, I can't see them being booked for main stage headline.

As much I would fucking jump for joy if they were announced. :D

I still wake up excited that I have got a ticket for this!

Personally, I am thinking The Rolling Stones will be there, since its their first tour since 2005, and that they have NEVER headlined Glastonbury. Also, possibly The Killers? They have a new album out and are touring again - They headlined it last time in 2007, and vowed never to play there again, but you know what bands are like.

Mumford and Sons will most likely be there as well with their new album, but as a support head liner - It would be brave for Glasto to place them at the top slot, as much as I love them. Muse have also just had a new album out, but the previously headlined in 2010, so it might be a bit soon for them to return to Glastonbury - perhaps in 2014 when they have finished their new tour, we will see.

Florence & The Machine is an interesting rumour I have heard - I love her and missed out on tickets to see her, and it would be amazing to see her in arrive their. She drew and huge audience at her performance at the Other Stage in 2010, and she had a new album out in 2011 and her new tour ends this December, so she would be cleared for the summer. However, as her tour will have ended a whole 6 months before Glasto, she may have faded into the background by that point.

Kasabian are another very interesting rumour - although I am not a huge fan, I'm sure they would be amazing live. I don't think they have ever headlined the festival before, but I know they have played there. It makes sense that, at this point, they are due to headline. However, by the time they headline it will be nearly 2 years since the release of their latest album.

Too debunk a couple - Stone Roses have confirmed they will NOT be playing Glastonbury, and I just have it in me that Rihanna wont, for some reason.

I would like Arcade Fire to play, as I am a big fan of them myself, as I am of The Cribs - I would love to see them hit the Pyramid Stage during the day at some point. I wouldn't say no to The Pigeon Detectives and Linkin Park though. Oh, and never knock a bit of Kids In Glass Houses.

The Who played the Olympics to a international audience, and they are hugely popular and successful band, and they haven't played Glastonbury since 2007 - I could totally see them being approached or considered. The Fratellis last played in 2007 as well, very late on in the day on the Pyramid, and they have come back of hiatus, so that would be brilliant as well.

Lady Gaga is yet to play at Glasto, and Sunday is a known 'pop night' (more often than not) and she is undeniably huge, so I can see the interest in her as well. Arctic Monkeys, like The Who, played the Olympics and therefore got such a huge recognition as well - I'm not to keen on them personally, but I wont moan if they are there over Gaga. I would keep an watch on Beady Eye as well; yes its Oasis but with no talent, but they are now playing Oasis songs, as - once again - demonstrated by the Olympics, and these days Wonderwall is basically a festival anthem. I'm not sure they would headline the Pyramid, maybe the other stage like.

Moreover than anything, I am predicted The Rolling Stones, The Who and Mumford and Sons to be very, very likely contenders. Muse is just as likely as Florence, but I fancy the chances of The Killers - even with their 'vow'.

I just wish Coldplay were there <3

Well Glasto was brave enough to put a pre-AROBTTH-Coldplay on the headline back on 2002, so I guess Mumford & Sons is a pretty good guess. Rolling Stones would be awesome too...and why did The Killers say they would never play there again?

Probably either the mud (didn't the Killers play during 2007 mud-bath?) or the money.

I believe Lady Gaga "played" on the other stage in 2010

Mumford will either headline the other stage or be 2nd on the bill on the pyramid stage.

Mumford, at this point, are too big for the other stage but not big enough to headline - second bill on the pyramid sounds about right.

Did anyone else here get tickets?

this is definitely on my bucket list... i would love to attend on glastonbury festival but it's impossible to get tickets =/
