Viva La Vida Medley (UPDATED: The March on Violet Hill))

Featured Replies

Gonna listen to part 2 now. Time to be blown away.

edt: Ok. Here's my review. The piano parts were better in part 2. The pieces flowed better. Your voice sounded better also. All I have to say, keep up the good work. I also love the artwork you choose. It's beautiful.

Thanks again everyone for the encouragement and feedback! Check the original post for an update :)

That's awesome. I think you should make Lovers in Japan a standalone track. Just the way your played it was amazing. I'd love to hear the full track. You took Violet Hill and gave it a more stripped back hauntingly feel to it. I love it.

How did this miss my attention for so long?

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. One thing that amazes me about Coldplay is how they inspire so much creativity among their fans; I've seen it with my own writing aspirations and now you show so much creativity in music. I've gotta figure out how to get an MP3 of this if I can!

And I don't mind your vocals at all - they show your willingness to experiment with different sounds with the music. My only "dislike" is the static/scratch inserted between some songs in the VLV medley, IMHO it doesn't belong and breaks up the transition between tracks. I love the artwork and the flow.

With this evidence of your talent, I predict you'll have great success as a score composer one day and I hope I get to witness that.

Thanks for the feedback! Check the original post for an update (finally!) :)

As well, there is no full version of Lovers in Japan, that is everything recorded there. I am looking to separate the tracks and release them as free mp3's but I'd have to remaster it (since I've finally learned how to master properly).

And I appreciate the comments Jilly; a few kind words go a long way. Thank you :)

I hope you all like the newest chapter!

I just want to say I registers an account here just to say that this is amazing!!!!!! How come you don have more views!??

I love the paintings and I didn't like the voice in the first one but your voice has improved so much! It's so epic! Someone really should get the band to here this because it is mesmerizing! Please keep up the great work and keep posting and you'll be famous in no time :)

PS - LOVE LOVE LOVE the guitar in violet hill!

Could you please post the mp3 to download please? :) :) :)

This is so awesome! Amazing job with this, the narrative you created out of the songs works so well!

Wow part 3 is amazing! You took it to a whole another level. Fantastic, cannot wait for part 4.

Maybe you could release your take of Lovers In Japan as a separate youtube track? I think it's genius, I would love to see it as a stand alone imo.

Haha you really want that Lover's in Japan track redone huh? Well I can't keep refusing. I'm busy in the middle of a new (and exciting) project but I promise I will get to it and you'll be the first to know :)

In the meantime, here's an mp3 of March on Violet Hill to download, if anyone's interested:

For the feedback and enthusiasm, I can't thank you enough guys. Really give a guy who keeps getting knocked back in this industry the spirit to get up, dust off and try again. One day....
