🌙 COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE MOON MUSIC OUT OCTOBER 4TH 🎵

Mass shooting at Batman premiere

Okay, I'm sorry...It's just awful to see people arguing about whether this guy deserves to die or not...I guess I just really have no idea what to think and seeing your arguments just confuses me more. You know what, I went to the midnight showing of Batman in Colorado, but at a different Theatre, and I feel awful that I was sitting there, enjoying the movie, while all this was going on. I didn't even know till I woke up the next morning...I keep thinking to myself "what if it had been the theatre I was at?" I just don't understand...but I guess somethings Only God really knows. Sorry again for bursting in...

This is all kinds of wrong. Do you mean debating in general?

Everyone's been civil, nothings gotten personal, we've been sharing our opinions, what definitely doesn't change anything is coming in here and writing "RIP SOZ" (Not that I have anything against people doing that).

I told Empily that because earlier in this thread we had a disagreement about something (Me, Spieler and Jack Bauer or something) someone would storm in like "GUISE STOP FIGHTING WHERE IS THE LOVE", that didn't happen, it has now.

And also, your post is technically arguing. Well done.

My last post was in response to this.

Yeaaaaaaah. But I think I'm just a revengeful person. But he'll get what he deserves in time I suppose. Annnnnnd is that a CP reference? DAAHF? Haha, if not, I don't know :P

No it was a Batman reference :disappointed:

The difference revenge/justice is an important issue in Batman Begins, idk :disappointed:

There's nothing really to apologise for, but just because an issue such as this can be a confusing dilemma, doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss it, if anything these are the kinds of topics that don't get debated enough.

That's pretty crazy you were at another showing in Colorado on the same night though.

I don't mind discussion, it's just...when these issues get brought up There're always gonna be people on both sides, always have the same arguments for their side...but I guess if you want to discuss...here's my thought on this.

Whatever made this man do what he did was evil. it doesn't matter if he had something wrong with his brain or not, it was just evil. I know he "deserves" to die, but should he be killed? I'm sure whatever happens, it's less than he "deserves"...but what does he "deserve"? Only God really knows the answer to that question.

Very true..

It just bothers me how much time and energy is spent on 'people' like this.

The film score had a too-much-familiar theme in it that sounded pretty much like parts of Howard Shore's LotR theme [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iHuLXHQSi8]Lord Of The Rings - Orc Theme - YouTube[/ame], or is that just me?

It's not an excuse. But clearly this man has psycholigcal problems.

Watched a video on the internet last night and a guy was saying three weeks before he'd been to this place to get a gun. James Holmes was there having some additional piece of equipment attached to a gun that presumably he'd bought there. This other guy said he thought there was something not right about him and didn't think someone like that should have been allowed to purchase a gun. Not long before it had happened Holmes had spoken to some of his neighbours bout looking for a flat and that he was 'moving out'. He was blinking his eyes alot according to one of the guys that spoke to him. To me it seems he was attempting to function normally whilst going through whatever mental problem was affecting him. Making out to other people he had plans to move somewhere else when he was planning this atrocity. Colorado Uni's policies etc are being looked into to see if there was anything else they could have done to prevent this tragedy. It seems that there was a failure of coming together when the Dr who he was under gave some sort of warning about him but nothing was done in time. I guess we will learn more as the trial proceeds. Heart goes out to the victims, their friends and families.

This is what I'm concerned about. How can a person like this proceed to purchase weapons?

What do you mean? What part of it do you find disturbing?

How synical someone can be about a human life.
