And it will be a super quick 2 day trip, because of our kids at home, and we will be back in NYC in April (my son's choir is performing in Carnegie Hall). We do have friends in New Jersey, and my sister in law lives in Queens, but her place is tiny tiny, so I don't think we can stay with her.

They paid for your airfare - I'm trying to find cheap flights! We have ff miles and I have a credit on United so I think this might actually work out! Just need to confirm which night we're going and find a hotel - we have points we may be able to use, too. :bliss::bliss::bliss::bliss::bliss:

Well, I did it. And I won the GRAND PRIZE! I'm going to NYC!!! Oh my god, I'm beyond excited!!! I think it's just tickets, though. So now I have to get myself from California to New York! I'm waiting for more details from the magazine editor.

I was notified today that my tickets are for Dec 30 and will be mailed on Monday. I emailed the contact back, asking where the seats are, but she didn't know. Now to make the travel arrangements :) It's a long way from California to New York.
