Everything's not Lost!

Wow! You got it right!

Tracks 3 and 11 on VLV were two versions of Lost! So when I put not those tracks you get that answer! Your turn;)

I lucked into it. Saw that it was 10 on VLV and that would be it if 11 was gone. Also not lost since that was 3. Back with a clue in a few.

Here's your clue: 42 went away in this era. This one has a beat that just came back!

Hurts Like Heaven?

Mm. Good guess. My clue about 42 went away is not referring to the song 42. MX era would make sense in that context. Think of different meaning for "went away".

Next clue: The band are very particular about what they put on each album.

As in they put 42 minutes of songs in each album?

We missed you, I Ran Away! You are on the right track!! The part about the beat coming back...it is on AHFOD, as in the album. The question: What type of beat? That will lead to the song on AHFOD, which in turn leads to a song from the era "when 42 went away". Figure out 42 of WHAT went away and you'll find a song with this same type of beat as the one on AHFOD.

Last clue then I'll bow to I Ran Away to give us a better riddle while the Internet works: see the Wiki.

If this is too obtuse, let me know. I've got one final giveaway clue.

Oh hey jeez a lot has happened- well Christmas break is over and I'm back!

Really late but can someone tell me the answer to that classical music symphony clue by i ran away because I kinda am anxious to know

The one with the planets symphony thing? It was Animals. Haven't seen you in a while!

Any guesses? Need my final clue yet?

Welcome back jay!:D

*fistbump*

I'm kinda lost. According to wiki several Coldplay albums went beyond the 42 mark...

Ok, let's try this an I might be miles away from it but my guess is

"Death and All His Friends"

The "42" rule is about the length of an album. On AHFOD, Up&Up is a very long song (> 6 min) and on Viva la Vida or Death and all his friends there is Death and all his friends, which is also > 6 minutes long.

edit: I forgot to mention that on AHFOD drums are making their comeback

Edit2: went away = passed away = dead

Hymn for the Weekend?

Princess of China?

That's a really great riddle @iamsue !! I have to admit it still is very mysterious to me and I haven't yet figured out what this is all about !

Just in case 42 does not refer to the minutes on the album, are you referring to the supposed 42 scrapped songs on X&Y ?

I Ran Away! YES!!!! You have officially taken the reigns. Nie, interesting logic but 42 is what IRA just guessed!! Drumbeats are great guess but I'm not looking for the beat of an instrument. What else "beats" in the lyrics of AHFOD song (at least one of them, I think two). The song I'm after references this same type of beat and was a B side during X and Y era. Final clue: Clooney's stopped during a movie that took place somewhere without this thing that's the song title. Now I've said too much. I'm tired.

Gravity

^^^ Brilliant! Im sure you got it right! :)

Right it is!!! Heartbeats are what I meant. 42 just led to it as a b side during X&Y. Heartbeats in AOAL and somewhere else I forget on AHFOD. I Ran Away, do you want to re-claim the turn you missed before this one?
