Hmm I investigated the Day thing further and came to Strawberry Swing, which also has a theme of colors and uncertainty, in a way: "Now the sky could be blue, could be grey". But that is just a wild thought, wouldnt know how to tie this in.

Look to the plural of DAY for the right rhyming word. Another word for the noun or verb forms of "blurry". Then find it in Coldplay song #1 and you'll be well on your way to solving this one!
