Don't follow the balloon. The info about the balloon just tells you the starting point. From there you need to move on your own based on what it says in the text.
Yellow?Only 1 in USA and GB?

Yellow?Only 1 in USA and GB?

no...

I think you're all misinterpreting the line about the charts. Think about it again, it's not referring to the US. Maybe look at some chart listings for songs and you'll notice something....

Lost!

(where I am in this riddle and also my guess because it has only 2 nr 1 notations)

No.

Don't focus too much on which songs have 2 No.1 notations, it can be misleading.

Here's a good hint: All geographical journeys described can within a reasonable timeframe be done by car. No need for planes, ships or anything.

No, just a place to start from. [emoji14]

I thought you would have gotten this by now. Come on, from where did the balloon leave on THIS side of the great ocean and never came back ?

Ooooooooh, i get it now

Well they never returned to Oceana and the last place there was Sydney.

I'm trying to find a place over there that has something to do with charts.

Ok, that must be Paris.

But I never saw that balloon leaving and I was there on 18/7. [emoji16]

I just cant decipher the chart part

I just cant decipher the chart part

I can't say more on that without giving it away, but I wanna emphasize two hints I've already given:

1. Maybe look at some chart positions for various Coldplay songs to get a feel, you may notice something interesting

2. The places of your journey can be reached from your starting point by car in a reasonable amount of time, no other transportation required.

Magic?

My reasoning:

from Paris on I go to the 10 th district (10 is the position in a chart that needs > 1 number).

From there I go Up&Up in the same direction and then I come in the neighbourhood of Portugal, where MAGIC was number 1 and where I can call it true.

Do you mean the 10th district of Paris ?
Yes.

If you go "Up&Up" (speaking geographically) from the 10th arrondissment of Paris I can assure you that you won't end up in Portugal. It isn't Magic either.

But keep walking/driving...

Magic was n°1in Portugal?

No, I would end up in my own backyard. :joy::joy::joy:

Magic was n°1in Portugal?

Yes, in the Portugal Digital Songs charts

Best riddle — i ran away
