Good Luck... it's not my video - just one I found. It makes it much easier than the written instructions.

yes you are so right..best tutorial and I did it :D

I posted my personal sky full of stars on this board a while ago. My background is not really interesting unfortunatly, it´s the wall /ceiling above my bed :P

This is the old thread, there are some nice examples of origami stars:

I also made my own sky full of stars, it was really easy to do and I think it looks great (especially the shadows on the wall when I turn on the light).

I love the stars above the stage on live shows, very simple and yet so beautiful! It somehow fits the atmosphere of GS. :nice:

Now I've got the hang of it, I can't stop making them. Photographed a few round my garden... these looked like water lilies.

i just successfully made my first origami star!

for anyone having trouble - i got stuck around step 10, then after watching the video posted earlier in this thread, i realized that at step 4, when you begin to fold the smaller pentagon in the center, i wasn't folding the edges up high enough. you have to make sure the corners reach the crease marks on either side. i was just trying to get the edge itself to the center of the pentagon.

after refolding, it was much easier to get the star shape...

i have some fancy paper i'm going to try this on next, i'll post pictures when i'm done

it looks like you're on the right path, at least!

It took me two full weeks of trying, and some serious frustration, and I finally got it right thanks to the video in this thread! I'm going to photograph mine in front of Table Mountain in Cape Town tomorrow morning when it's light :D

I literally have no hand skills :(

You're nearly there. Have you looked at the you tube video I found and put on this thread ? Good luck.:)

After an hour of struggling (both with the star and my bicycle, so I could go to the castle in town) here is mine :)
