I've heard the new album and the songs are really good, especially Under Control where The Strokes do "soul". To me the album is a bit short with just 11 songs that run about 2 minutes long, and almost half of the songs aren't exactly new (they played a majority of them frequently on their previous tour) but it is good. Its similar to Is This It without sounding like a carbon copy... after a couple of listens I cant get a few songs out of my head - the first song and the last one, as well as Reptilia, Meet Me in the Bathroom - and it stands up on its own right without feeling like a complement to their debut.
