CrispyCrisps
So, I've never been to a concert, and now my favourite band is coming to my city (Vancouver). They're playing at a stadium called BC Place (55,000 capacity), and I have no idea whether to sit or go general admission and try to get to the front. If I sit, where is the best view? If I stand, is there any chance of getting to the front without going to the show 10 hours early? Thanks in advance
RAAR PRO
Ok for general u need to line up early which is a real pain! U can also stand by the stage c which a small stage where they will play too. Stage C is like away from the main stage n' the ramp.. it will be a small circle stage. If u need to sit than better to go for the lower seating areas depending on the stadium. Good luck Coldplayer [emoji4]
oldiefan
If you want to stand by the stage or runway you've got to get in as soon as the arena opens and RUN !!! Then be prepared for a l..o..n..g wait ! The Standing/ Unreserved seating tix allow you to choose where to stand or sit and so you can do both. Whereas the Reserved seats, higher up, give you a good but more distant view, but you're stuck there. If you want to see the boys close up, without too much competition, stand by the C stage... this doesn't get as crowded as the front BUT you don't get to see most of the rest of the concert ! Well, maybe you would if you're very tall. I've done Seated( Manchaster) and Standing(London) and so for Cardiff I'm aiming for unreserved seats as near to the stage as possible, and then maybe a little wander over to the C stage a song or 2 before they go on there. Wherever you end up - it'll be wonderful ! Enjoy !

lennyrott1
While floor seats can be fantastic, I think sitting in the lower seats of the lower bowl in the middle can be best. But if you can get in the lower bowl down near the railing, you get a great perspective of all the stages and can see all the visual elements better too. I don't know BC place though... But I can tell you that its gonna be a blast no matter where you're at.

Oh yes - now I remember seeing US concert plans with seats on the flat arena floor. They didn't have those in the UK.
CrispyCrisps
Hey all, Thanks for the all the feedback! 1. I have no trouble going there 10 hours early, but idk if I can convince my friends LOL. Also, how do you go to the washroom if you have to stand there for hours or lose your spot. Also, how early did you guys go to get near the front? 2. What are floor seats? I definitely don't wanna be at the back, I've been waiting to see the guys for like almost a decade (I couldn't make the MX tour). I spend hours watching their concerts on youtube, it's just magical. I can't imagine what it's gonna be like in real life, i'll probably pass out LOL.

As I understand, the 'floor' can either be standing or have rows of seats. So, floor seats would be in that floor area right in front of the stage, and have seats available as opposed to an open battle ground, lol
iamsue
Yes, @CrispyCrisps (love the name!), floor seating, at least in the U.S. has folding chairs (plain metal, no padding). No need to cue up to get the best seats, as it all happens when you choose them online. The sections sre by letter, with the "A" section the priciest. BUT know that if you are shorter or can't stand for most/all of the show, you may want to think carefully about getting a floor seat. Most people stand the whole time, and with no slope to the floor, you can have a hard time seeing. Also, watch where the sound mixing booth and speakersare, as IMO, they can distort the sound if you sit too close. Good luck tomorrow! AMDB9
If you don't wanna pay for floor seats, I thought I had a pretty good view from my section. I was basically in the middle of the side of an arena.....up in the third section.

Well if there's floor seating, that makes things much easier. I'll definitely try to grab floor tickets then, good thing we get the fan presale; might actually stand a chance. AMDB, that looks like a great spot you're in! That floor area near/along the end of the catwalk looks like it would be pretty cool too; close enough to see the band, but far enough to appreciate the visuals and all. icequeenn
If there are supporting acts, do people skip them and only start arriving close to when the band plays or stand throughout the supports?

If you want to get near the front you have to get in as the doors open. Loads of people don't bother with the support acts and just go in time for Coldplay. CrispyCrisps
Update: All right, so I managed to grab 2 floor seat tickets near the front centre (at least judging by the setup maps they've had for other large stadiums) on what I assume would be Guy's side (I've noticed he tends to be on the left side?). Cost me an arm and a leg, but it'll be worth it I'm sure.

I was really hoping to see them because they are truly one of my favorites! PLEASE PLEASE! I NEED HELP! EACH CODE IS GOOD FOR 4 TICKETS AND I ONLY NEED 2!!! PLEASE! THIS WOULD MEAN THE WORLD TO ME!!! chrisnotmartin
I got VIP tickets in Manila. Venue is flat surface (old parking lot). I am just 5' tall. Where should stand to get a better view (left, right, center, middle left, middle right).
