Its like at a funeral, some old bastard died whos famous catchphrase was "You damn kids get off my porch!" and you walk up infront of his family and grandchildren and say "Well, that old bat's dead, thank god."

 

Or at a wedding, whenever the priest says "If anyone would like to stop this wedding speak now or forever hold yo' peace y'all" and then half the room put their hand up and say "The grooms a freak and is obviously too unattractive for the bride"

 

See? BAD, BAD thing! Lies protect us all from the truth.

there's a difference between honesty and common sense though....

 

and as for the wedding....let him say that...for that might be thr truth in looks, but not the truth in feelings, which should be love.

 

The truth is the best protection, at least for me. I have a very good record of knowing when people are lying to me, and when i believe this, and find out to me it's worse than the lie itself.

 

I guess i'm not sure how i can explain what i mean, but if i ask some-one something, i expect them to be honest, even if it might be a mean thing they need to say, i can only grow through hearing the truth.
