I agree; A Hundred Million Suns wasn't a bad album, but it was hardly new territory. They need something ambitious to prove that they truly aren't simply "That Chasing Cars Band".

1. I want another single, I think they MUST release What If This Storm Ends? They have to, it's just like one of the best songs of the album and it's completely single material for me. I mean by saying it's the first part of a 16 minutes song and everything it's good publicity for people who like it to dig into it a little more and everything. Bsides its EPIC.

 

2. I don't want gary to go country, puaj I don't like country, I don't want my idol to fall down from the pedestal I have him on. I mean I respect that he wants to do it but I wish he didn't :P

 

3. They really should try another producer, something a little more experimental than AHMS although it was very good, maybe not enough. It not necesarily has to be a radio hits album. Anywayh, back here I wouldnt listen to any of it on radio just if it gets as big as Viva la vida, You're beautiful or Decode (for Twilight)

I'm not sure what SP songs are most accessible, but the entire album that "Run" comes from - Final Straw - is very solid. I'm tempted to say that Eyes Open is a more mainstream album and the material on it may be easier to get into at first, though. Songs on it like "Chasing Cars" and "You're All I Have" are some of the more well-known ones, and it contains one of my personal favorites - "Make This Go on Forever".

ah "make this go on forever" is an amazing song...one of my faves aswell! along with Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking, Run obviously (a classic) , Chocolate and Spitting Games...the new album is very good but a bit slower going, i think I prefer when SP are more rock...Disaster Button & "Please Just Take These Photos..." are the best (but Planets is so goddamn swoonworthy lol!!:P)

To be honest, I've never really paid that much attention to Snow Patrol... I of course knew some of their songs, but I just thought they were quite nice, nothing more... Until I heard Run a couple of weeks ago! :stunned: I loved it immrediately as it simply took my breath away! So I thought I might give them another go and bought their new album. And well, what can I say? It really got me into their music! Today, I even bought a ticket for one of their shows this month and I'm really looking forward to that! :D

1) one night is not enough - i LOVE this song, but the live version is SO much better, if you have the Live At Somerset House DVD , you should check it out...

2) an olive grove facing the sea - such a beautiful song, but again watch the DVD - this version is gorgeous and Gary's voice sounds much stronger than on the record ...beautiful:heart:
