Snow Patrol have been confirmed to support U2 in Berlin (July 18th), Amsterdam (July 20th and 21st) and Gelsenkirchen (August 3rd). :wink3:

SNOW PATROL ANNOUNCED FOR EUROPEAN FESTIVALS

 

Following their recent two-week tour, Snow Patrol have confirmed they will play at several festivals across Europe this summer.

 

They will begin the European festival season in July at the Sonnenrot Festival in Germany, followed by Rockhal in Luxembourg, Stimmen Festival and the Open R festival in Germany.

 

The band will then head to the Sziget Festival in Hungary, Ganpel Festival in Switzerland and Pukkelpop in Belgium during August, as well as continuing their support of U2 during their 360° Tour.

INSTORE ANNOUNCED FOR OMAHA!

 

A second in-store show has just been announced to coincide with Snow Patrol’s tour across the US and Canada where they are currently supporting Coldplay.

 

The in-store will take place at Homer’s in Omaha on Saturday 13th June at 2pm.

 

Once again, space at the store located at 1114 Howard Street will be limited, so make sure you get there early.

By now, some of you know that SP is returning to Indy and Nashville for solo performances.

 

On the SP forum, a girl who drove from Miami to New Orleans to see SP and Coldplay together had the chance to talk to Paul and Tom afterwards. Among many things, she told them about her driving 14 hrs to see them (of course, they were amazed)

and about the US tour.

 

Ok, obviously she cannot tell us everything they told her, but she reassured us that they are going to extend their US tour in the Fall.

At least they seem to get the chance of rocking the USA withough 'just' being a support act for other big bands. Like Gary in the interview with Coldplay.com mentioned, they have to leave their egos backstage and their only challenge is to warm the crowd up.

Hi everyone... just popping in here for the first time...

 

I got to see Snow Patrol open the show in San Antonio this past Wednesday and was really impressed. I really didn't know any of their music (other than Chasing Cars of course), and REALLY liked them. In fact, I just got Eyes Open and have been listening to it non-stop (sorry, Coldplay!)

 

Wanted to tell Localola86 and Indnsky in particular, as they specifically recommended checking out their music on the SA concert thread. Thanks!!

And today is Gary Lightbody's 33th birthday. :D

I'm feeling with you, I wish, I would share the same birthday with a celebrety I like. Gwyneth is the nearest though. I'm always hoping to discover a new great band which will make a great career and one of them is born the same days as I am. Well, I'm still on research.

 

And as Roadie #42 said they celebrate a lot birthdays lately, so I'm suuuuuure Gary had a great one. :)
