Awwww, congratulations :)

Everyone tells me what a good university town Halifax is. There is something like 5 universities in the one small city, right? So the student population makes up like half the population of the city. Congratulations!

WOOHOO!!

awwww i'm so happy for you!!!! i remember the feeling when i got my acceptance letters too!!

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bandana: arr

How does it work to get accepted in Uni ?

Here in Brazil, we need to take a test. that´s it. The public ones are the most hard to get accepted (only for those that studied in a good private school). The private ones are expensive and don´t provide any good curriculum as a public one does.

For applying to Northern Ireland / England universities you have to thoroughly fill out a very long and boring form about your GCSE exams which you took when you were 16. we also had to write a personal statement and get a teacher to recommend us :o hehe.

You chose 6 university courses and then it all depends on what you get in your final exams! (A-Levels)

COMPLICATION!!

that's why there is so much excitement when it all pays off and you get accepted to one of your choices!

:stunned:

Maybe Brazil should have those kind of acceptance thingies. It´s so easy to get into unies here :/

we use to joke about some unies.. like, drop your ID in front of the uni and you´re accepted :P

hehehe. i saw on The Simpsons tonight a marvellous sign which said "If you can read this you're accepted" :D

Congrats!!!!!

I'm so proud of you!

To apply we have to fill out an application and send in a transcript with all of our high school marks and they usually don't accept you if your average is below 65. :P
