Please God, Gwyneth better stop Moses from having his father's fashion sense (or lack thereof), or else he'll be wearing a pair of black cargo pants, one black sweater, and a hoody forever! :uhoh:

 

But for right now, matching clothes are cute :nice:

i hate all the reports saying "gwyneth was nowhere to be found" or "gwyneth wasn't there" that suggest that she wasn't there because they're having some sort of marriage rift. is gwyneth EVER there, even before their supposed "marriage issues"?! NO. they are simply RARELY SEEN TOGETHER, and they were even before all these rumors started flying. that isn't to say i necessarily agree with them being so obviously apart all the time, but JEEZ, it's not like them not appearing in photos together is something new. there are like, what, 5 pictures of them total together EVER? the media is so sensationalist about all this, but really, them being apart on outings like this isn't some new development :angry:

I don't even know when we've ever seen the 4 of them together anyway, except that article when Moses was born... They probably know that it'd be a pap frenzy if all four of them went out together, and they want to protect the kids. *shrug*

exactly, and i completely agree about them wanting to protect the kids. i think that's great, wanting them to have as normal lives as they can have despite the fact that they have two celebrity parents. sometimes i think they should loosen up about being seen together, just the two of them, but whatever. the point is that "gwyneth was nowhere to be seen" under chris pap pictures or "chris wasn't there" under gwyneth pap pictures isn't some new thing, so the press should stop treating it as such. grr.

 

haha, i think the matching coats (and matching shoes from the pics earlier in the summer) between chris and moses are so cute :nice:. i bet he's going to grow up to look exactly like him :cheesy:

I don't know, I think it's really sad that they don't even go out together to be with the kids.. I mean I'm sure that they do stuff at home together as a family. But when Apple and Moses go out to do fun stuff, and Daddy's there but instead of Mommy, there is some random babysitter... that must be kind of weird for them. :confused:

however, despite how much i think the matching moses/chris clothes are adorable, i have to say i'm pretty grateful that chris does NOT wear ugg boots :lol:

 

and i don't know, i guess it probably does suck that they don't go out together as a family a lot, but i wonder what sucks more for the kids in the long run: not going out as a foursome or getting followed by shouting people with cameras and growing up with that being "normal."

the nappies is hysterical, but i have to be in the right mood...sometimes it just makes me cringe. recently, though, i've been getting a HUGE kick out of the 2006 holiday video. i seriously wonder how drunk they had to get guy to dance like that :laugh3:

Whenever I see an Ugg boot, I imagine it turning into a sheep and attacking me (not really, but still...). I just wear Chucks instead, canvas is safer even if my feet are freezing ;)

 

They first time I saw The Nappies, I was sort of embarrassed for them (or maybe Gwyneth) :P But now it's just ridiculously funny... When Chris Martin has a freakout, genius is born :laugh3:

haha, i know, but i used to go down those same exact slides with my dad when i was that age, and i was always terrified :lol:. glad chris is enjoying himself, though!

 

in general, something like 8.5 cases out of 10 in my opinion, british singers sing with more of an american accent than a british one. however, i think chris's britishness occasionally seeps into his singing (i can't think of an example right now, but i will :P). but yeah, from the beatles to coldplay, i have NO idea why everyone sounds american all the time. since like everyone does it, i bet it's entirely unconscious.

I know, it's always puzzled me with the Beatles, too... But see, it's not like Americans would suddenly start singing with a British accent, so why the other way around? :stunned:

 

He has more of an accent on Parachutes, in Spies for example... But in VLV he sounds so different!

 

I hereby declare this the weirdest phenomenon ever. I've been trying to figure this out for years :P

i think he sounds slightly different with accents over the years, both singing and talking, because of increased contact with america and americans. hearing him talk in the parachutes days...he sounds SO much more british to me. i think his accent has blanded out a bit now that he has an american wife and spends so much time over here.

 

at least he still has most of that accent, though :wacky:

 

i liken the phenomenon to when i watch a british movie or several episodes of a british show in a row...or when i spend time in england. my voice is always a bit funny after that. certain british coldplayer friends of mine just find that HILARIOUS, too :rolleyes: :lol:

Mine sounds British apparently sometimes, even though I'm like quarter British :lol:

to untrained ears (i.e. mine), it takes a minute to decipher aussie accents from british ones sometimes :P

 

i do wonder what kind of accents the kiddies have, though. i guess they spend more time with gwyneth, but i think the nanny is british. hmm.

Haha, yeah when I lived in Cambridge over the summer, I was SO mocked when I came home! I had picked up all of the slang and was speaking kinda oddly :uhoh:

 

They live in England most of the time, so I imagine that they have British accents, regardless of the fact that they're with Gwyneth more. I have friends with Australian parents, but it's not like my friends have Australian accents themselves!

yeah, i was thinking that too, but i think it also has a lot to do with where you go to school and who your friends are, and moses and apple are so young that they don't spend a lot of time in school. anyway, it's not like we're ever going to know :P. i highly doubt chris would be too keen on letting them do interviews :lol:

 

i talked funny even when i got back from living in holland, and that was just for the summer :P. i'm going to sound like a riot after england for a YEAR!
