A few things: 

1. I’m thankful that the mods here don’t (for the most part) shut down discussion about the leaks here. The difference between here and other Coldplay discussion sites is deafening. They are scared of even hinting at discussing it. But whether they talk about it or not, it still affects and is relevant to the fandom to discuss. 
 

2. 291,941 tracks were stolen. Only 40 were extracted and sold online. I’m assuming many many of those 291,941 are stems or slight variations of the same songs (i.e the AHFOD folder) but that’s A LOT. Many of those are not even Coldplay but that is a treasure trove of material. I wonder how many tracks sold have leaked and which are still waiting to be. I also wonder what is in that material that never sold 

3. I wonder if Alphabetica is a relatively new idea from the band and if these leaks prompted at least the discussion of releasing previously unreleased material. I forget which band it is, but another band had unreleased material leaked and then they just released it themselves begrudgingly. I wonder if Coldplay might do the same thing.

That was Radiohead, they released the stolen material for a limited time on Bandcamp with all proceeds to Extinction Rebellion. I know another case of this happening which prompted the record label of another artist releasing a surprise album with, disappointingly, only some of the leaked tracks. But all of this is making me excited for the eventual Coldplay vault album.

Hey! Can I ask what Alphabetica is?

Because in one interview for Moon Music (I think the one with Zane Lowe) Chris hinted at a possible unreleased material album as one of the possible works the band might undertake once the final album has been released. Are you referring to this? That's all I know about it by the way!

I have a theory that 2017 one is the rough demo before they played it live 

You can hear that Infinity Sign definitely evolved out of Life is Beautiful, a lot of the stems from the LIB demo are exactly the same.

Interesting that the LIB demo is obviously unfinished, it doesn't have Johnny or Will on it. You guys would know better than me whether there's a more fleshed out version in a vault somewhere, or if they only got so far before scrapping it.

Chris has previously said in a few interviews that Higher Power started with him drumming a beat on a large bathroom sink. He made a recording of it and it was included in the final studio track. He's always said you could hear it very faintly, but I personally never could and was always curious to know what it sounded like. With this new batch of leaks that include Higher Power stems, you can hear it very clearly and I just think that's neat.

The studio version of LIB in the leak is clearly an early version. The live version (the best love recording we have now) is noticeably different, so there has to be a studio recording somewhere that's closer to the one we heard played live.

Out of curiosity, has anybody here heard a full version of Jupiter with Camila Cabello.

I have a feeling we might get a variant of JUPiTER on an EP in the future with her on it, along with the other unreleased songs like SUNSHiNE, SHiNE ON, OPUS 5, ALIENS 2, etc.

It's just a rumour. It is based on the fact that they only released the Full Moon Edition physically in the US. So people speculate that they might release another EP which will then be released only physically in Europe.

I was talking about the Camilla Cabello version of Jupiter; I didn't make that clear.

That said I do doubt the existence of the new EP.

There are snippets of the Camilla Cabello version floating around with different instrumentation and way more of her vocals. Apparently it was recorded when she was touring with them in 2022.

Yeah I’ve heard the little snippets, but I was curious as to if anybody’s heard a full blown version.

Someone told me whoever owns camila cabello’s Jupiter only owns the stems for it, which means those snippets are stem mixes (doesn't mean that its fake tho)
