Of course its a measure of SOME talent, I mean the Cheeky Girls will never win a Grammy.

 

And it takes a lot of talent to sell records, I dont care how gay you think Justin Timberlake or Christina Aguilera are, it takes a certain amount (A LOT) of talent to get to that level. The Grammys appreciate the level people get to, and from there I guess winning is just a matter of the panels taste.

Well, yeah, that's sort of what I meant. And I'll be the first person to admit that Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, etc., actually ARE very talented (in fact, I often find myself in the unenviable position of defending them against indie snobs, even though I am one to some degree). But I still think that the Grammies are entirely meaningless, whereas there are other people that I know who have the attitude, "they won a Grammy, they must be the best."

I didn't know who Joss Stone was till a few weeks ago.

But whoa, that girl is a hottie, and she has such a sweet voice. I'm starting to like her.
