i studied classical piano for two years..., and it didn't really help anything..., then i started teaching myself piano, and found progress 100 times easier and quicker. But i do like alot of classical music...i like alot of the music George Martin does...also, the Planets, Ravel (he's my favourite)

I also think there is alot of Classical music OVERRATED too

I would recommend you any Nocturne.. or Lizst, oh he's great, and he plays really similar to Chopin..... well not really similar, but there is a connection

What exactly is classical music?

Fur Elise is my favourite piece to play on the piano, and I will never get sick of playing it. Its pure genius.

 

My favourite composer is Corelli, by far. Composers like Bach and Beethoven could write a million pieces on the spot, by Corelli put individual effort and distinct originality and creativity into each one of his pieces.

 

Thats taking nothign away from Back and Beethoven, Handel too, who write brilliant music.

 

I dont think classical music is under-rated by young people, its just, not rated at all. If it was given a chance by some young people they might enjoy it, but thats not going to happen anytime soon.

I know how to play Fur Elise on the piano. I love it. :)
