I downloaded the new album, but I have yet to listen to it. I probably won't until after I get my mixtape done.

what do others think of the newy?

 

it has very little on their previous two releases but this album has a nice feel to it. a bit more reserved and laid back with some awesome tracks like Will Do and Repetition. i can see myself listening to this over and over again through the year.

TV On The Radio's bassist Gerard Smith has died of lung cancer, the band have confirmed.

 

A statement went online at Tvontheradio.com today (April 20), confirming that Smith passed away this morning.

 

The band said: "We are very sad to announce the death of our beloved friend and bandmate, Gerard Smith, following a courageous fight against lung cancer. Gerard passed away the morning of April 20, 2011. We will miss him terribly."

yeah i heard about this just a few minutes after watching their letterman performance :( very sad.

R.I.P. Gerard. You were awesome! TVotR won't be the same without you. :cry:
