my older sister put a towel on a tall lamp to dry and turned the light on sometime later but it was muffled by the towel so she thought it was broken and left it. few hours later we get home and there is all this smoke and i could barely walk in the room and the towel was on fire and my mom called 911 and 2 fire trucks came and a few cop cars and all the neighbors came out. the floor has burn marks on it and her room is right below mine! whoa

I started to melt a slide viewer once, made out of plastic cause it was too close to the plastic and I forgot to turn it off. It can happen!!!

I put McCain fries in the oven once, and they set on fire. I have no idea how that happened. :o

One time I was cooking breakfast at home before going to the beach...we came home at 3 in the afternoon and our house was filled with smoke. Apparently I had left the burner on max. with the frying pan still on it, there was a hole clear through the pan. :stunned:

I remember that once my neighborg let a pan on the stove...which got all burned...

Yeah my mom wrote a thank you letter to the company that made the pan because it basically saved our house from burning down.

No it wasn't T-Fal, it was that cookware company from PEI...what's it called again? I think it starts with a P...

My boyfriend and I were cooking bacon once under a gas grill and I kept warning him that "Be careful that the foil doesn't catch on fire". He was like "It'll be fine, I know how to cook bacon :stunned: "

The next thing, I turn around and the whole thing is on fire :laugh2:
