Does anyone know a good, or a couple of good, biotechnology sites when I xcan find info pro transgenic food (GE Food) and scientifict researchs about it's benefits and disadvantages, aswell as general nfo (but scientifical-general, not just general info, about it)..... and everything you know it will be read with great delight, because I need it, and like it.... and I'll stop giving reasons since I don't have more !!!

Theoretically I should know the answer to this question, but I don't. :bucktooth:

Oh wow. I missed that. I'm smart.

I dunno :embarrased: sorry!!

P.S: Is it just me or...is kalter zug momo? he reminds me of momo :smug: his sense of humour and hmmmm everything  :idea2:

i know some website but they are in french

http://www.syngenta.com might have some info or at least links, it's a company I used to work for, dealing in fungicides herbicides and some GM investigation with Montsano (US GM food company) .. maybe try their website too.

I've tried Monsanto's website, but the arguments they put seem very weak to me

By the way, what did you do at Syngenta?

Kalter reminds me of momo sometimes, but he definately isnt him. Not only are their personalities and traits completely different on Chat, but also I've talked to both guys (Kalter and Momo) on MSN at the same time.

Just to clear THAT up. ;)

I dunno :embarrased: sorry!!

:stunned: this is scary

what is this "momo" thing? :stunned:

Gab!...you are unique for me!.... :P

i want to be unique :(

hee hee

you're not. :sneaky:

by name's gaby too! :stunned:

By the way' date=' what did you do at Syngenta?[/quote']

Used to make BoMs, for places such as Iraq :) hehe

I was in the side of the company the made the bills of material for countries...this involved making sure the products Syngenta sold were properly packaged, so that when they shipped they had labelled bottles, caps, boxes, the right chemicals etc.

Sternly, here is the web site of an anti-GMO (and pro-farmer, pro-women) activist and her foundation...she's based in India, but is famous worldwide by now due to her resistance against Monsanto and others.

You will get a distinctly anti-GMO opinion on that web site. I've lived with and been friends of people who are doing cutting-edge research in plant biotechnology. They're some of the nicest people around and they feel that what they are doing will ultimately lead to a second "Green Revolution" wherein crop yields will increase significantly and we will be able to feed the world. Of course, you can feed the hungry even now...there is enough grain for that. It's the lack of political will that comes in the way. :/

I am against biotechnology, there are too many unknowns.

and what do you put in the labels? Because, I don't think we get to see everything, don't we? Or what we see is just can you put? ah, and you never got inside the laboratory or suchs like it? Or it was like another building, and/or prohibited?

Thanks!!!! For both :D

And once again, I agree with Reindeergirl

well, i'm a scientist/engineer, though not in biotechnology. So I naturally feel that yeah, there are many unknowns, but then, good science will always do good for humanity.

Biotech is a tool, like anything else. What makes it good or bad is how people use it!

:)

i want to be unique

genetically speaking you are unique :D so does everyone
