1. Hi, any chance you could upload it to Mega ? I have a very unstable and slow internet connection at the hospital, it frequently breaks off - Mega remembers the download status and resumes when the internet us back on, so it might work for me
2. My reaction ? Well I was happy of course to get the answer. But at the same time so disappointed I couldn't see the film.
3. Unfortunately not
4. No... Hint: These are quite a lot of people, no ?
5. Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. I had a difficult day, new in hospital and very distraught about missing the film event. I was upset and angry and cried a lot but now I've come to terms with it. I just watched the Mat Whitecross Q&A instead (thank you for uploading it on Youtube, @coldplaykb !) where a question of mine was picked. The interviewer's reaction to the username made me laugh :D I wish all of you who have seen or are yet to the see the film today a wonderful experience ! @coldplaykb - turns out I do have internet in the hospital, so I might actually take you up on your kind offer of sharing a Prime account login ! This would be awesome !!
6. Yes, that was me indeed ! :)
7. Pouring out my heart here. I'm so deeply sad and disappointed about missing out on this once-in-a-lifetime event and can't think about anything else. I very rarely go to the cinema, have perhaps been there five or six times in my entire life. Now along comes a film about the history of my favourite band - this was the ONE cinema film I knew I wanted to attend and was looking forward to ever since it was announced. And with the old unseen footage etc it was really something huge to look forward to, especially for an Oldplayer like me ! For around a month, in the bleakness of my life, this date of November 14 was something to hold on to. But a few days ago I had to cancel my ticket. I'm quite ill and tomorrow of all days I'll be hospitalized, for what could be quite a long time. I'm so scared about everything and now this. I'll be very honest, I'm really jealous of all you other Coldplayers who get to experience it :pensive: Everyone here and on social media is hyped about it and I read these things and I know I won't be there and "the hardest part was letting go, not taking part...was the hardest part". Of course no one around me in my life understands what it meant to me, they think it's just a random cinema visit I had to cancel... :cold_sweat: By the way, I asked Mat about the 10 mins extra footage for cinema because I was upset on missing out on that too. He said it might be streamed on Coldplay.com soon. That's at least something ! Mobile Link: https://twitter.com/MatWhitecross/status/1061989809428881409
8. Have you seen this ? Fingers crossed it'l work out for you. Mobile Link: https://twitter.com/MatWhitecross/status/1062291127578124288
9. I know what you mean. It sounds like a sample of a church bell recorded in open air
10. Wow, some of my favourite songs are on this list....
11. Wowo, Such A Rush live ! But unfortunately only a small excerpt with talking laid over it, like So Sad. We need full recordings !
12. Well, at least in the scene described in Roadie by Matt McGinn it's Chris who says it to Guy (upon which Guy threatens to hit him). And honestly, I'm sure 80 % of the bad language in this movie will be coming from Chris. I'm also pretty sure Chris will turn out to be the mooner. Anyone wanna bet ? :D
13. well, talk about targeted advertising... :joy:
14. are you kidding ? I'm living for that part, even if it will be hard to watch because of the tensions :D
15. Long time no see, @antdrew !
16. My cinema says 115 minutes... Yes. I'm not shocked about every f-word I hear or something but the bad language gets annoying if it appears gratuitous (I had that feeling during parts of Live 2012, for example).
17. SPOILER ! "A student briefly bares his buttocks" :joy:
18. Damn, something similar thing happened to me. I have a ticket in a city 20 kms away, and now a cinema right near where I live was added, and the ticket is even 4 EUR cheaper ! But I don't think I'll try to see if I can cancel and rebook, because the screen is smaller too (40 qm vs. 60 qm) and I really prefer bigger screens.
19. From the names of the tracks to the lack of capitalization in some, before listening to the mixtape I think it might have been made by @arushofjacktothehead (it looks kind of similar to the one you posted publicly !) But I'm not sure if it's just the four of us (MMTS, LRLRA, yoyo2000 and myself) exchanging these tapes. Well, gonna listen now and tell you my honest opinions: 1. Oh my god, begins and ends with a modem dial. This instrumental track sounds very spacey and science fictiony, also reminds me a bit of the intro music that played at an Arcade Fire concert I went to this year. 2. The synthy, heavy soundscape in this reminds me of a Wolf Alice song I heard on the radio. Could this be another Wolf Alice song ? 3. The drums which start off the track remind me of The Goldrush somehow. The only lyrics I think I understood here are "wherever you go" (?), the rest sound as if they are in another language ? Interesting electric guitar rhythm on the right speaker. 4. So many female vocalists on this mixtape ! So far the songs blend into each other very well. I prefer the second half of this track that feels like a rave, although the male vocal snippets that come in at some point are a bit jarring. 5. Very atmospheric beginning set to spoken words. The rest of the song is not my cup of tea, I'm afraid, and the saxophone in the end is a nice addition but doesn't change that either. 6. I begin to think this is an all-female vocals mixtape. Understated, quiet song that could be fitting for a slow dance late at night. 7. Electronic dance track that sounds like Madonna with a touch of Gwen Stefani. 8. OK, this is an all-female vocals mixtape, right ? Another synthy song. The chiming melody in the background that comes to the foreground in the middle part of the song is nice, rest of the soundscape is not my thing. 9. The melody and sound of this song are very reminiscent of early MGMT. I like it when songs have a strong leitmotif/melody that gets repeated. 10. A male vocalist for a change, and there goes my previous assumption :D I expected this song to evolve somewhat differently after what seemed like this huge buildup at the beginning. A lot of chopped up vocal snippets in this one too. 11. I like the melody at the beginning. Unexpected false end in the middle before the chorus resumes again. 12. The modem dial comes back to haunt me. Then calm guitar and piano chimes occasionally pierced by strange drilling noises. Instrumental then builds up to another electronic rave before it unexpectedly drops in volume, back to acoustic piano and guitar - again very unexpected (track seems a bit comparable to 42 in structure). Probably my favourite track of the whole mixtape, a beautiful and calming closer. After hearing the songs and the way the songs blend into each other still believe it could have been made by arushofjacktothehead. But I might be completely wrong. If it's not him, my second guess would be @LeftrightleftArchi :D And who knows, maybe I'm wrong again. Whoever made it, thank you so much for making it and introducing me to music I had never heard before. The mixtape was put together well and had a great flow. The songs could have been a tad more different from each other, tempo- and style-wise; as I went along, all the songs except for No. 6 and No. 12 blurred into one in my head, but maybe that was the intention of the tape ;)
