  1. I hope not...anything with less than 3/4 completely new songs would be a disappointment to me...
  2. Sometimes you'll feeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiieeell
  3. Been listening to a lot of Simon & Garfunkel recently: El Condor Pasa (If I Could) The Boxer Patterns Scarborough Fair
  4. Die Welt auf den Kopf gestellt HFTW
  5. Hint: Violet Hill is next to a big area that has a similar name to another Coldplay song on the same album. ;)
  6. Hi, funnily enough, I don't think you will see anyone of us flame you. We discuss respectfully, we don't insult. One of the many things that makes us different from the very person you are defending in your post. I actually personally like it when musicians/artists show some engagement and outspokenness in political issues, and/or raise public awareness for societal or environmental issued. I also think that Coldplay is not at all outspoken; they usually only vaguely endorse notions that almost anybody would agree with amd don't seem to want to alienate anyone, so they are silent about anything controversial. I think they used to have more of an edge earlier (Iraq War protest, or see what they wrote in the AROBTTH booklet about fair trade). As for the elections, well I have to say we seem to be on opposing ends of the political spectrum (I am not conservative at all) but I do agree that Clinton was a corrupt and unlikeable candidate (I wish they had chosen Bernie), and that Obama's presidency was an utter disappointment (and by far not as peaceful as he wanted to make us believe, see the escalated drone war). Like I said in posts above, if I had to make a choice, I'd have voted a third party candidate, namely Jill Stein. If a Trump presidency would mean a more isolationist stance in terms of military actions in the world, that would for me be the only good thing to come out of it, because no problem in the last 70 years has ever been solved by sending American troops anywhere, to put it very mildly. On the contrary, these senseless wars have been the root of a lot of instability in the world, not to mention the loss of millions of civilian lives and I don't know how many troops' lives, too. So I'd be all for military isolationism. But I could never, ever, EVER support everything else Trump stands for - racism, sexism, discrimination, gun deregulation, carelessness about the environment and cluelessness about science, you name it ! You might say a lot of it was just campaign talk, and he's not gonna do half of what he boldly announced. This may be so (and I am fairly certain it will, because he already unashamedly lied during the campaign, on numerous occasions....), but still, there are things a decent person should never speak out aloud, and this man has spoken all of them. Just my two cents !
  7. Are the emojis back ?! :D
  8. This is so true ! "Tell me your secrets..." - Haha, better not, Chris :D
  9. I loved the fact they played the MX tour intro to VLV - the quiet piano melody of the chant. I wish they would start introducing Viva La Vida like that again in the next tour legs.
  10. I really hope it contains new stuff instead of the extended version of Kaleidoscope, Everglow acoustic and remixes. Actually I wouldn't mind anything as much as those remixes... (Well, perhaps Kaleidoscope feat. Donald Trump would not be a good idea either ;))
  11. I will watch the rest sometime :)
  12. hm, I don't find their jokes funny at all... :-/ Will watch the rest later when there is a recording!
  13. Stupid me forgot the time....but just turned in in time for the Scientist backwards challenge :D
  14. I don't see any other thread, so I will post it here: Look at Will's and Guy's reaction when the host asks them about the EP, and they don't know yet that Chris just spilled the beans some minutes earlier !! :D Especially Will... Apparently, it will be called Kaleidoscope. Although I heard Guy talk about always having "a bag full of ideas", so... A Sky Full Of Stars => A Head Full Of Dreams => A Bag Full Of Ideas... ? ;)
  15. Just listened to it. Hm. I was a strong critic of the song's fake drumbeat and effects when the album first came out, so in principle I think it works well as a piano/e-bow guitar solo, but unfortunately it is the shortened version ! And some of the best lines are cut out, like "How come things move on....like the end of my world". So I have to admit I don't really like this version either. Looks like this song is never going to grow on me, lol.
  16. Where can you stream this outside UK ?
  17. I ran away replied to Coeurli's topic in Everglow
Where is there a cello in the album version ?
  18. If Chris Martin would listen to more of this kind of music rather than Katy Perry and Ariana Grande, Coldplay would be back in no time.
  19. oh Viva with the MX Tour introduction !! This is sooo sweet !!!!
  20. Chris is astonishingly positive about Trump and all that...!
