Officially released yes, but that doesn't stop them putting the audio out via their Youtube then releasing it officially tomorrow.

It makes sense they would release the audio of the song today. After putting a snippet and artwork out to the world there really is no way to tease us more.

No electronic drums either!

It doesn't sound like EDM at all? Seems some Coldplayers have forgotten what a conventional guitar solo sounds like! Despite the autotune in the background, I'm really loving what I'm hearing and seeing so far :D

The point I was making was that "Experimentation" is everybody's favourite buzzword around here. This artwork really is experimental, It really is nothing like any of Coldplay's previous artworks. This is something radical and brave, nothing like the very safe and lukewarm "experimentation" we've come to expect from Coldplay. I absolutely love it, hope the music is just as brave.

I don't get the hate on it. These "Newplayers" and their logic make me laugh sometimes. A constant excuse I'm given for Coldplay's recent blandness and pop orientation is "experimentation" and them "never doing the same thing twice" and then they go and do something that's ACTUALLY experimental and they start talking about how much they hate it :laugh3: Very interesting cover. If the psychedelia can translate to the actual music and we don't get tracks like Amazing Day I'll be very proud of Chris and co.

And I thought you of all people would appreciate it. If the cover does appear like the video it'll probably be my second favourite Coldplay cover after AROBTTH.

I really, really like it. As much as AHFOD can be described as a banal title, you certainly can't say the same about the artwork.

That's one of the worse things about it in my opinion. I'd listen to MX over GS any day, and that REALLY is saying something!

Guys, what do we think the chances are of Coldplay playing at T in the Park next summer? I'm getting tickets on Friday as a friend of mine is a massive Stone Roses fan. I don't mind The Stone Roses but my investment is really banking on the prospeKt I may get to see Chris and co headlining...

That day is long gone unfortunately. GS destroyed any semblance of authenticity they had left. My only hope is they find a way back with LP7.

I'm sure the early Parachutes era videos scared many a five year old back when they were on heavy rotation on MTV in 2000 (I was one of those five year olds :laugh3: )

If you disregard the flower imagery from your head for a minute and look at it closely, you can also see the petals form a crossroads sign, signalling a crossroad in their career? Am I the only one seeing this?

As this is MX, I couldn't care less who wins really, but I will say MTM is a far superior song to HLH. HLH had the potential to be great with Jonny's guitar lines but it fell prey to being a MX song! Too much production and layering with stupid synth noises that have no business being there.
